I hope so Steven!!

^ that is Womanizer.

I don't think she deserves a grammy for best album or artist IMO, but song, maybe. I hated Womanizer but it is a good pop song [if that's nominated :\ if not, If You Seek Amy ftw]

Jayson 27-06-2009 08:22 AM

When are the Grammys?

She deserves a special one for best comeback

Omg mark, The princess and king of pop:dance2:

Britney deserves A grammy especially cause all her 3 singles in America charted & sold well and womanizer did fantastic.

Jayson 27-06-2009 10:37 AM

It's Michael :dance2:

Well, it all depends on what's released over the next month or so, but as of now, I don;t think she deserves a Grammy. The Circus era was poor, in terms of music. I'd rather her comeback next era fierce again and then get the critical acclaim.

M X 27-06-2009 04:07 PM

Circus, poor? :conf:

completely. It was all manufactured, made to sell rather than for quality. Vocoded to the max, she had almost no creative control. Perhaps her worst era ever, altho Oops! gives it a run for its money.

All of those describtions can fit Blackout in some ways.

MrGaryy 27-06-2009 04:26 PM

no they can't. :/ the only one you could possibly relate to Blackout would be the one referring to her voice being edited, in which case it was completely justified on Blackout as it was a strictly electropop record, unlike it's succeeder.

M X 27-06-2009 04:27 PM

and Britney co-wrote just as much as she usually does:

My Baby
Mmm Papi
Mannequin

MrGaryy 27-06-2009 04:30 PM

creative control refers to a lot more than writing. Britney had a lot of control over the general look of the album, aswell as song choices and the videos for Gimme More and POM. As far as I know she also played a decent part in the production of the album, therefore she had a say in how she actually sounded and how the tracks were mixed and what not.

no she only ever co-writes and even that is rare. I think she did produce quite a bit on Blackout and In The Zone, but considerably less on Circus. But generally she doesn't have a huge say in anything to do with her albums.

Of course she sing's them, in the studio.

MarkWaldorf 27-06-2009 04:49 PM

She's had creative control over her videos this era (aside from Circus, I think) she came up with the concepts for Womanizer and If U Seek Amy. She was listed as executive producer for Blackout as well, I think.

Until Larry Rudolph came back & took control AGAIN. fucking tool. Britney on her own with Blackout>>>>>> Britney under management with Circus.

MarkWaldorf 27-06-2009 05:08 PM

Well to be honest:

Britney on tour/custody with kids/appearing happy with a 'new love' >>>>>> Britney running around at Right Aid at 2am with Adnan/Sam

As long as she's happier, I don't really mind what she releases. I'm a huge fan of both Blackout and Circus.

She should be able to have a balance though. Why must she be totally manufactured and controlled in order to be safe and happy. I just hope hewr next record is more Blackout ish and she has more of a say.

"Shattered Glass" is the 4th single from "Circus" in Australia & New Zealand.I hope this means "Unusual You" will be the 5th single and the reason they didnt release that in Aus as the 4th single despite it winning the poll is because they're going to film a video for UY at a later date and want to give that a proper release.

MarkWaldorf 27-06-2009 07:06 PM

Is that confirmed?
