Saw finale really enjoyed it sad though and yeah i dont understand why people are complaining I thought everything ws tied up pretty well

Novo 24-05-2010 02:13 PM

It seems so obvious what the Alt was all about now looking back when Rose said to Jack on the plane in the Alt " you can let go now " that was the biggest clue.

Z 24-05-2010 02:35 PM

I think with LOST; the people who criticise it for being 'ridiculous' aren't true fans of the show. It was never about being realistic; it has elements of fantasy, science fiction, whatever you want to call it; in the context of every day people's lives. It's much easier to watch the show and enjoy it if you don't expect it to make sense. All of my friends criticise it for the polar bear and the smoke monster; yet will happily watch something like Heroes or True Blood which both also rely on the viewer accepting the norm within the show is not the norm in real life.

The finale was great, it was everything I could have wanted - seeing the reappearance of all those ex cast members was brilliant. I laughed at the line about Shannon "it was a pain in the ass getting her here." I wish all the actors and actresses from the show the best in the future, they all deserve it :).

LOST for life.

Iceman 24-05-2010 03:26 PM

This was a thoughtful, ambiguous, fascinating show that functioned at the highest of intellectual levels in a corporate age that’s like something out of “Infinite Jest.” At the same time, I don’t think the “Lost” formula is easily replicated. It’ll be years before another cult hit like this comes along. We’ve all just witnessed something special. And now we should go to bed and think on it. And keep thinking.

some dude posted a blog and said this......i 100% agree with it.

Novo 24-05-2010 03:52 PM

It was emotional as ****! 10x more sadder then the titanic ending ( sorry to compare but the similarity's were there )

Iceman 24-05-2010 04:03 PM

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje reportedly turned down the chance to appear in the series finale of Lost.

According to E! Online, the actor was asked to reprise his role as Mr Eko in one scene of the episode.

However, Lost and ABC sources have now claimed that Akinnuoye-Agbaje wanted a fee five times higher than the one he was offered and negotiations broke down.

Akinnuoye-Agbaje was reportedly originally intended to appear on the show for four seasons but was released from his contract when he decided to leave the programme.

I just realised, the song, 'life and death' sort of foreshadowed the finale. wow.

Princess 24-05-2010 04:53 PM

Brilliant finale,I loved how all the couples got together, although I should stop wishing for Kate and Sawyer now, lol!

I don't get it lol
one if they are all dead how did they get off the island in season 3
and why wasnt everyone at the funeral, especially Ana Lucia

aww when they would remember something and it would show a flashback i had a tear in my eye awww

They didn't die when 815 crashed, they died when they died.. like when we saw them die. And the characters that we didn't see die, died after the show finished. Christian said something like "some of them have been waiting much longer than others", because they died earlier.

Raph you been browsing Lostpedia?

And I'm gonna watch the finale again now I think.. And yeah I agree it was really sad.

Captain.Remy 24-05-2010 05:31 PM

Very overwhelming stuff and I'm glad the way it ended but it's a bit disappointing not everyone was featured on the finale + how can we describe their time on the island if it was real and not real at the same time ?

Locke. 24-05-2010 05:32 PM

^^It was all real?

Novo 24-05-2010 05:32 PM

Everything on the island was real

MeMyselfAndI 24-05-2010 05:34 PM

i have never watched lost but if u want too see something sad watch "Marley and Me" :bawling:

SOOOO SAD

I've seen both and Lost was sadder :)

InOne 24-05-2010 05:40 PM

There was that temp problem or something at the start my heart almost stopped lol

Locke. 24-05-2010 05:42 PM

Yeah same. I was thinking I'd waited 3 hours for nothing cos I was gonna have to watch online in the end anyway

ILoveTRW 24-05-2010 05:43 PM

i really think a better ending should of been that it was all a sick reality tv show
everything would of made sense up until season 3 or 4

LemonJam 24-05-2010 05:45 PM

ew no.

The on island ending I thought was perfect actually, off island I wasn't as thrilled as some but thought it was fair.

There is nothing to live for now. [/overreaction]

I know everything that happened was real BUT how come they forgot ? So they actually lived two lives in once ? What was it that made them forget about it ?

Anyway, my life is over, I should go kill myself (drama queen much ? lmao)

InOne 24-05-2010 06:00 PM

I don't think it's even sunk in yet there will be no more Lost. It's weird, that last episode is still buzzing in my head.

Novo 24-05-2010 06:02 PM

It was one of the best ending's possible. As much as i would liked to have seen a happy ending it was better this way.. and as much as it was sad it was at the same time very warming because it was like you were saying goodbye to characters you have grown up watching

After they died they moved on to the 'ALT', in the ALT they need to reconnect with their past, and real, lives so that they can move on to heaven. Matthew Fox explains it better than I can on the interview show with Jimmy Kimmel.
