Celebrity Big Brother up to 2.5m in the ratings last night. 2 hours ago |
Lovely.
|
Pleased with 2.5m even though i thought last nights highlights were dull.
Hopefully it will rise again tonight and get over 3m for the first eviction. |
The ratings have gone up the past 3 days :)

BB pulled in an average audience of 2.5m (14%) between 10pm to 11pm on Channel 5.
The show was up 0.1m from the previous night’s highlights show and was the show’s highest rated broadcast since last Saturday (2.7m). Channel 5 had a strong evening with Extraordinary People beforehand pulling in 1.8m, helping the broadcaster beat Channel 4 once again in the primetime shares. Channel 4, who axed Big Brother last year, averaged only 1.1m in the 10pm slot, less than half of Celebrity Big Brother’s audience. Celebrity Big Brother also beat ITV’s News at Ten (1.9m) and BBC2′s airing of Coast (0.6m). Yesterday’s CBB rating was consistent with how the first Wednesday highlights show has performed in the last two summer series, as 2.6m tuned in for the first Wednesday episode for BB11 and 2.4m in BB10. Although yesterday’s audience was down from CBB7′s 3.2m for the same episode, yesterday’s 14% share was actually higher than CBB7′s 12% share. From ds Celebrity Big Brother grabbed 2.5m viewers on Wednesday night, while live football scored for ITV, the latest audience data has revealed. Celebrity Big Brother averaged 2.52m (13.8%) for Channel 5 in the 10pm hour, as Jedward were split up in the latest house task. The reality TV show has so far proved a ratings hit for Richard Desmond's Channel 5, delivering 5.1m viewers for its launch night and then staying above 2m for each subsequent nightly highlights programme. Overall, BBC One just took primetime with 18.9% against ITV1's 18% (+1: 0.3%). Channel 5 came in a strong third with 7.2%, followed by BBC Two with 6.6% and Channel 4 with 5.4% (+1: 1% Lets be honest BB is a hit for C5 |
Hees a round up of the series so far
Thursday 5.2m (22%) Friday 3.2m (15%) Saturday 2.7m (12%) Sunday 2.2m (12%) Monday 2.3m (12%) Tuesday 2.4m (13%) Wednesday 2.5m (14%) Series average is 2.9m (14%) |
Looks like it's going to be 2.6 tonight then
|
Great to see it rising... and Channel 4 doing badly. I honestly can't believe they axed it to be honest. 2.5m every night for 12 weeks? Most channels would be more than happy with that.

Dont quote me on that. BB is doing well when it comes to % though |
They are good figures, they would have been good figures on Channel 4 still too but for Channel 5 it has to be a really great success so far.

im guessing 2.4 tonight but lets hope they keep getting bigger
|
If they aired it earlier they would get more, I have few friends who love bb and can't watch. it coz orbit being on late during the week.
|
CBB - 2.43 13% :)
BOTS - 0.859 8.4% |

Lets hope they can get it a little higher to average about 15% when the main show starts. I can't see channel 5 being unhappy with that. |

Good to see it's hovering around those figures and not making any drastic falls. Wonder how much tonight's eviction will get?

Dipped below 2m :( I expected it though, didn't feel like anyone was watching it last night.
|
That will young programe was on ITV1 straight after the X-factor fished, so lots of people will have stayed on the same channel.
It also had strong competition from BBC 1 & 2 with the proms and casualty and John Bishops britain. Hope the ratings pick up again tonight. |
