Due to the face everyone is answering and can answer basically an unlimited amount of times, I do require the connection with the clues :)

No correct answers so far, will partially solve the wall soon :)

Marc 03-07-2013 11:51 AM

Print Vol Call Goto all functions on a Fax machine?

GiRTh 03-07-2013 11:52 AM

Vicky Coren doesn't ask for the connection with the answer. :pipe:

Shaun 03-07-2013 11:53 AM

toot, honk, blow and whistle - your car horn? :/

GiRTh 03-07-2013 11:56 AM

Shaun 07-07-2013 08:24 PM

Nope, keep trying though!

Marc 07-07-2013 08:47 PM

I'm so confused

Kate! 07-07-2013 08:50 PM

Me too.

Kate! 07-07-2013 08:56 PM

Is there just one connection of four on this wall or four groups of four?. But can't be the latter cos then there would be no red herrings.

Idgi?

GiRTh 07-07-2013 09:00 PM

Vol , Goto , Call and path are operating system commands.

Marc 07-07-2013 09:18 PM

Bite, Whistle, Roar and Blow. All ways animals fend off predators..?

Kate! 07-07-2013 09:35 PM

Snow Charlie Flake Blow.

Cocaine

Kate! 07-07-2013 09:37 PM

Nvm that's not right ... Shaun already tried it.

That's correct for 2 points, MS-DOS commands to be specific

3 to find

Tregard 08-07-2013 09:26 PM

(Off topic, in an amazing coincidence, the actual Only Connect just used the Hunger Games district sequence!)

I'm afraid not :/

We're going to have to call this now, I have fully solved the wall, 1 point to anyone who gives me the connections of the remaining three groups.

Shaun 13-07-2013 10:21 PM

That it is, Street names for Cocaine, to be specific :) 1 point for that

The other two are a bit of a bugger, I will leave it overnight and let you all in on them in the morning, when we go to wall 2!

Smithy 13-07-2013 10:42 PM

Shaun 13-07-2013 11:08 PM

I think the first group are portmanteaus of something but idk what

Tregard 14-07-2013 09:07 PM

Time to put you out of your misery. Two groups went unfound, time to find out their connections.

http://i.imgur.com/6xNKIbX.png

If you've never heard of Ricky Gervais' Flanimals, this group was impossible. This is what a Honk looks like, and this is a Sprog.

http://i.imgur.com/Nd80kPY.png

This was a word-based one, you can describe the wind as doing all of those things. Blow is obvious, Roar is when it's very loud, the wind can be "Biting" and it can whistle.

So, Shaun earns 1 point, and GiRTh earns 2 points (Plus a bonus point for finding a group).

Onto Wall 2, have a go at this:

Shaun 14-07-2013 09:11 PM

Abed, Troy, Britta, Pierce - Community characters?

Livia 14-07-2013 09:53 PM

Cats, Annie, Kismet, Book of Mormon. All stage musicals.

Livia 14-07-2013 10:02 PM

Dion, Alexandria, Troy, Argos - ancient cities or civilisations?

Kate! 14-07-2013 10:16 PM

Abed Jeff Britta and Pierce - Community.

Troy is a red herring for this set. It's a civilisation as already guessed ^
