But again, it's not exactly unusual or surprising for people to be more tolerant and forgiving towards their friends, who also make an effort to apologise, than towards someone who continuously goes on about how she hates him and revels in winding him up

Munchkins 19-01-2014 11:59 AM

The fact is Jim has every right to expect that people should accomodate his needs, but not when its virtually the whole house against him on this one night where they were all having fun, if it was just Luisa and Dappy etc being drunken messes then yes Jim has a point, but when it was one night where the house where all agreed, i think Jim should have just loosened up forr once

Dappy was also the one making loud sex noises when he was dry humping Luisa. Just before he went out to see Jim.

So you're wrong when you say he'd shut his trappy.

From what I was watching she came across as far louder & I said he had shut up when Jim WENT TO BED, Luisa was the one still going on & made Jim make a bee line to the door...

..yep, I do agree with that..we do all have opinions on people and that's where our perspective comes from, whether we think something was purposefully said in spite or not etc...which is the same for fans etc..we all see the same thing but look at it differently...there is very rarely a definitive right or wrong, just as opinion on a situation...

Munchkins 19-01-2014 12:03 PM

And when they went to bed its not like Luisa was going to be carrying on forever lol, she was clearly going to go to sleep eventually

But Jim didn't actually tell any of them to be quiet, he wanted to sleep so went from the bedroom, to the tree house, to indoors & it was Dappy that stirred the **** & told them all that Jim wanted them all to be quiet now as he wants to get to sleep, he was quite happy to simply wait til they had gone to slep before he went into the bedroom... He didn't make a fuss about it at all...

Jim is a hypocrite and dappy is a people pleaser, as said the whole house were enjoying themselves... except jim, which prompted ben to start this thread entitled 'Fun sponge jim'.

Even before lights out? Has there been any where a HM grumps when music is played into the house in the early evening?

Nobody else was asleep or suggesting they wanted to sleep apart from jim that night were they?

Once the lights go out, I think the bedroom should be out of bounds for the ones that want to party. Before that - no. If Jim chooses to go to bed before anyone else, then that is up to him and there is no point getting up and going from one place to another to make the others feel guilty and put attention on himself.
Why didn't he get his GP to prescribe sleep medication to bring if he isn't a night person? Did he think the other HM's would cease having fun whenever HE feels tired?
I think he just loves to play the victim. It's for the camera's.

joeysteele 19-01-2014 03:43 PM

You know what, I have been reading through this thread last night and again today, the conclusion I have further reached is in fact that Jim's grumpiness actually adds greatly to the entertainment value of the house.
If all that was happening was Luisa and Dappy frolicking about and everyone else ignoring that, whether they approve or not.
If Luisa was making a noise in the bedroom and getting little or no reaction from anyone.
Then that would be as tedious to watch, in my view,as just about the love triangle was.

However when Jim's grumpiness and moaning takes place, that actually increases tenfold the entertainment value of the programme and I think Jack tried to touch on that last night in his posts.
One thing is for sure, if Jim wasn't complaining and grumpy at times then not much would be being talked about on here as to what happens at night like as did last night.

This is for me, one the best CBB's there has been and Jim,in my opinion, has a really big part that he has played so far in making it that too.

Slevin 20-01-2014 05:31 AM

lol @ Jim coming out for the party then going to bed. moans every time music comes on. he really is a miserable bastard. of course he really didnt go to bed. even Liz was bobbing her head getting into it. i actually agree with Sam (forgot she was there) when he was telling Luisa to grow up but he was laying by the door like a baby. good stuff from Jim but kettle black. if i was Jim and really wanted to annoy people when i woke up i wouldnt of put in a half assed effort and probably screamed and do other things myself. guess some would call that Jim's revenge. i call it a failure since it was laughed off. please try harder next time Jim. when he was in the kitchen throwing a fit i was lmao.

joeysteele 20-01-2014 08:46 AM

Actually he came out later and sat with Liz.
Then although he clearly hates the song, when they were playing 'I'm in the mood for dancing',(for the life of me I saw no reason to butter up Linda and play that anyway), Jim couldn't help himself also nodding his head a bit and singing along for a line or 2 while sitting with Liz at the table.

I know a lot of people like Jim who clear off when the party starts and dancing takes place then they come back later when things have quietened down a bit.

Jim doesn't, clearly, like most of the music that gets played in the house so if he genuinely doesn't like the music why on earth should he stay there.
He went off into the bedroom and didn't spoil anyone elses enjoyment.

Slevin 20-01-2014 09:21 AM

i know he came out and sat with Liz. he didnt go to bed.

But Joey, that isn't what happened. After the task when they went over to the table of food that BB had provided for them, he took a look at the table and said in disgust "I'm going to bed" and walked off. There WAS no dancing or partying at that time. I thought that was a bit rude when BB had given them a nice spread. Watch it back and you'll see.
It's no problem if he doesn't enjoy dancing pr partying - but as far as I see it he doesn't want anyone else to enjoy it either.

The Nolan song 'I'm in the mood for dancing' being played into the bedroom was aimed at Jim. That was the whole point of it. BB has a wicked sense of humour! :joker:

You liked him at first, but you let your own personal feelings get in the way of that, after he brought up Frank Carson's dressing room.

It's your own fault you don't like him anymore Chuff. Jim should be loved no matter what he does and you should put your own opinions and feelings aside and like him again pronto! :joker::joker:

Hi jet,
yes I did see that, he clearly may have also thought though, I know how this is going to end up, music, screaming and partying.
He clearly doesn't like that and therefore avoided getting involved in it right from the start.

As it progressed it likely turned out not to be as bad as he had thought it would so he returned.
He prefers I think anyway, to sit in a small group or with one other, that has been clear since the start of the series and in fact all we saw of him really was him with Liz, chatting when the others had moved elsewhere.

Personally, I cannot see any wrong in that at all so have another take on the proceedings as I have outlined above.

I also have to say, wouldn't want to be in a room where Nolans records,(I won't say music),was playing, that would certainly be my cue to get some air or go to the toilet for sure.

Agreed ,but I think there was no need whatsoever to bring it up, the man isnt here to defend himself, its smacks of cowardice to me

I think that's stretching it. Sitting down to eat is hardly partying. He could have had something to eat and then gone to bed. Or he could simply have said "I'm not hungry and I'm tired, I'll off to bed now, enjoy yourselves" instead of walking off like that! It was rude and uncalled for.

I don't know what you see in the miserable old git. Our Dan was heaps nicer and a lot more fun. :joker: :joker:

All Jim needs is a bar, a dartboard, a pool table and some of the boys round for a bit of old banter. He'd be as right as rain!
