As if last night matched the launch

I'm actually speechless.

Jake. 25-01-2016 10:22 AM

Last nights +1 is mental, surely this is a first for channel 5 CBB?

Crimson Dynamo 25-01-2016 10:25 AM

3 mill to come?

Carl Jayson 25-01-2016 01:35 PM

Tiffany's impact! She really has saved the show! :clap1:

jackc1806 25-01-2016 01:45 PM

David's Death episode brought 3.13m in consolidated ratings :clap2:

Will. 25-01-2016 01:49 PM

Yeah some really good ratings in there, the Friday part 2 show is annoying and it dents the average.

Carl Jayson 25-01-2016 01:50 PM

omg @ 3 3mil's in 1 week

Will. 25-01-2016 01:53 PM

The next round of officials should be really good, as we had consistent ratings of 2.3-6 last week.

*mazedsalv** 25-01-2016 02:14 PM

Yep, so far in total (overnights in brackets for the ones released today)

Launch- 3.30m
Weds 6th- 2.81m
Thursday 7th- 2.71m
Friday 8th (1)- 2.29m and (2)- 2.32m
Sat 9th- 1.90m
Sun 10th- 2.69m
Monday 11th- 2.67m (2.08m)
Tuesday 12th- 3.13m (2.43m)
Weds 13th- 2.61m (2.11m)

Saturday 16th- 2.13m excl +1 (1.24m)
Sunday 17th- 2.98m (2.37m)

Some very good timeshifts there with an average of probably around 600k or more at times!! David Dead-gate added 700k! If Saturday had +1 included, it would have added more than a million

Official average after 13 days is 2.64m

The official will only go up after the ratings we have seen this week.

Loukas 25-01-2016 02:17 PM

:clap1: great ratings for a great series!

I had a thought about this. I don't know whether this is correct or not, but I think that mentally, people prefer to watch celebrities go into BB, or jungle etc, rather than people they don't really know about. People love celebrity culture and this country is obsessed with it, I think thats why CBB, Jungle, Strictly etc do so well, to be honest I couldn't see a civilian version of jungle doing well in the long run.

Take 10,000BC for example, maybe, just maybe if it was celebrities rather than civilians, it would attract more people to watch.

*mazedsalv** 26-01-2016 01:04 PM

2.5m incl +1 :)

Loukas 26-01-2016 07:25 PM

This series is doing really well! I hope the ratings continue to grow, it makes me think why do we have a CBB in the summer?! At first it wasn't too bad for C5 but now it's not doing them any favours i think..

summer in red
winter in blue

CBB8 - 2.8
CBB9 - 2.6 -0.2
CBB10 - 2.2 -0.4
CBB11 - 2.8 +0.6
CBB12 - 2.3 -0.5
CBB13 - 3.1 +0.8
CBB14 - 2.1 -1.0
CBB15 - 3.1 +1.0
CBB16 - 1.9 -1.2
CBB17 (as it stands officially atm. It's still growing too - 2.64 +0.7

Jake. 27-01-2016 09:58 AM

2.38m (10.0%) exc. +1

Seems to be a pattern, when people moan online, ratings go up. Odd. :joker:

There should be quite a few 3m+ officials with the week we have had in the last 10 days. You saw the officials released on Monday, yes?

Crimson Dynamo 27-01-2016 04:11 PM

every series you get the moaners and the doom predictors

the numbers say otherwise and this series the DM are running stories each day with hundreds of comments

Mrmattybeck 28-01-2016 12:35 AM

Seems to be the constant twists and nominations that seems to annoy people

Mrmattybeck 28-01-2016 12:35 AM

But I've much preferred this series to last January

I agree with the nominations but theres been no twists this series really.

Anyway tonight should bring in alot of viewers if Live Feed is anything to go by there was a huge argument and security were called in.

daniel-lewis-1985 28-01-2016 05:51 PM

Erm so wheres the ratings for last night?

I think it's a lot simpiler than that as once upon a time regular BB got far more viewers than the celebrity one which had huge names in those days! It's just because every series of cbb especially the winter ones since 2014 just happen to be good while imo the only good normal bb for c5 was 2013 and that would still rank below most cbb's from recent years.

Also I think that normal bb is a dead format. Everyone knows that it's not as good as it used to be and it just becomes worse every year. There was a similar feeling with cbb up until cbb13 where bb found its mojo back under a new platform. To most people, it's like normal big brother doesn't even exist like today people would say "do you watch celebrity big brother?" But in 2006 when cbb was on it would still be "do you watch big brother?" They were the same show in channel 4 days and now there basically 2 different ones.

*mazedsalv** 28-01-2016 11:28 PM

I contacted someone who works at Broadcast for the ratings as they didn't include what CBB got on their site, and with Digital Spy not doing ratings anymore i had to ask.

The person was very quick and helpful, nice to know people are out there who are willing to help out, so if anyone wanted to know...

2.5m (11.3%)

:)

daniel-lewis-1985 29-01-2016 12:04 PM

What did Wednesday night get though?

2.5m (11.3%). The person who writes up the articles on Broadcast emailed me as it wasn't on the report.

As for last night, it got 2.38m excl +1, so looks to be around 2.7m, so will let you know when i get it.

Ah ok thanks :)

I think yesterdays episode may be a 2.9 I really think word of mouth after Stephs meltown would have brought in a lot of viewers on +1.

*mazedsalv** 29-01-2016 12:47 PM

Not quite, last night got

Channel 5:
Celebrity Big Brother- 2.6m (12.2%)

I thought it would have been 2.7m but looking at that share it's the highest of the series, just behind launch and the interview of Megan last Friday which got 13%. So not many people watching TV last night.

About tonight, with the people up i was sure it would be at least 2.8m, but Manchester United are playing in the FA Cup tonight so that will dent it... also the interview may not do great because the over hyped Zayn from 1D is appearing on Graham Norton, his first interview since leaving. Others include Will Smith, Ryan Reynolds, Toby Jones and Catherine Zeta Jones... so one of the best lineups in ages imo.

Still good though.

Zayn has cancelled his appearance on Graham Norton btw thank god.

Loukas 29-01-2016 02:21 PM

:amazed: that share though!

Mrmattybeck 29-01-2016 05:40 PM

Bbuk will be lucky to get 1.5m come the summer but great numbers again last night for Cbb

Jake. 30-01-2016 09:12 AM

Celebrity Big Brother's eviction shows pulled in 2.38m (11.1%) and 2.14m (13.7%) respectively. Between the two Lip Sync Battle continued with 1.26m (7.2%).

RichardG 30-01-2016 09:18 AM

Is that without +1?? Good for the second show though I guess Steph v Jeremy helped bring viewers back.
