After Salah went off I dont think Liverpool were in it after that. Kinda shows the Semi against City was a bit of a fluke. City would have given RM a much better game tonight and I think might have beaten them.

The only problem is they will replace Marius with Butland

yep, liverpool have been lucky to get as far without too many injuries. When they do get an injury, they don't have the depth of squad to cope.

Liverpool needs to go spend 500 million they have the money to do so

RM usually have the refs on their side, but it wasn't the case tonight.

Also RM were marginally better i would say the game was pretty even both poor and the worst final in years regardless the score

Real had pure quality across their entire team. when Salah went off, his replacement had played about 5 mins of football this year. Bale wasnt deemed good enough to get a starting spot and scored a magnificent goal .... That's the difference

He scored a phenomenal goal but they was gifted the other 2 it wasnt like they earnt them

Dubravka at Newcastle would be a good replacement but you already have history in signing dodgy keeper fro Newcastle. :joker: Karius has to go for him to make the two mistake undoes all the great work done in getting to the finals. Liverpool will be linked with every half decent keeper this summer

Two average teams playing out a poor final but we got some moments of drama at least

To be fair to Karius he made a couple of good saves early on in the tie. He deserves a shot at redemption but obviously if Liverpool want a better keeper then that's their prerogative (fancy taking Petr off our hands?)

I am amazed that Sergio Ramos was not sent off for his WWE move on Salah.

After all in the Championship this season Harlee Dean for us got sent off for the exact same challenge against Wolves at St.Andrews.

I know that it's a separate competition, but you would think that the Refs would stay consistent with what card should be shown during fouls.

The only difference really was that Real Madrid had a goalkeeper that could save a ball.

Nah Liverpool looked bang average and barely threatened really, their only hope was always gonna be a flukey goal on the break or from a set piece.

Only consolation for Karius is that in the years to come the game will be mainly remembered for that goal rather than his mistakes

i think he needs lots of rest now, and luckily WC begins 15th/16th of June, so he has got that time to rest up for that important tournament

what i thought was interesting was the complete lack of empathy toward the goalkeeper from his team mates and manager. It was the Real players that consoled him at the time. It doesn't shout out good team spirit to me.

Karius got an elbow to the head from Ramos aswell just before that first mistake
