Looking back at all the historical eps of new who and Vampires of Venice, Vincent and the doctor, The fires on Pompeii, The Unicorn and the wasp, Shakespeare code, Human nature, tooth and claw, girl in the fire place, the unquiet dead and the empty child duo are all really strong episodes. Also theres a lot of really good classic who stories.

So there's literally no old writers returning apart from Chibnall.

We know a lot less about this series than any other prior to its airing.

Sunday evenings are actually prime slots.

Call the Midwife, Downton Abbey, Line of Duty, The Night Manager. Sunday night BEHEMOTHS!!!

Saturday night TV is a wasteland.

It's because, due to limited budget, they always go back to the same time periods in Britain.

Great move to be on a Sunday!!! Family tv is what sunday evenings are made for! Saturday should be more cheesy tv eg saturday night takeway, x factor etc. Dont know why they didnt think of it earlier

Doesn't the article just say they won't be in the net series at least, but there's opportunity for return (except Missy)?

Daleks and Cybermen - they'll be back, they can't axe the most iconic villains from the show forever.

As for the others, they're all Moffatt inventions so I won't miss them massively.

Nobody's said anything about stories being "done". Although Moffat specific creations like River Song, he's said himself her story is over.

All Chibnall has done is confirmed we have no returning characters/villains in series 11. Which is only a good thing.

Nothing would stop any of them returning at any point in the future.

Not a fan of the comic book/Sarah Jane Adventures aspect to the promos this series.

I get they probably wanna save the new titles music for when the first episode airs, or at least if the titles are previewed ahead of time, but they could at least have used the old title music, or maybe a bit of score.
