It's not right though obviously, and hopefully VAR will fix this issue of blatantly favouring the big teams in matches.

VAR have been also crap, with their bias towards ajax :notimpressed:

van boekel as VAR LMAO :laugh2: he is pro-ajax

ajax mazraoui should be suspended for life after karate kick charge at psv attacker :omgno:

Hold on a minute! An Ajax fan was allowed to officiate an Ajax game!?:umm2:

And an Ajax player karate kicked another player?:umm2: Conveniently no discussions in the media about the team needing a points deduction over that act of violence.

Basically the linesman couldn't see round Willian's hair.

Sky Sports always defend the officials when they do something incompetent.

Heck there was an ex-Referee on Sky Sports News yesterday defending the officials at West Brom vs Birmingham that he tried to claim that the officials got it right over the penalty decision, and probably the only person that thinks that opinion.

Basically imo the Linesman should've been better positioned for the first Chelsea goal, and even where his standing he should still be able to tell that Azpilicueta was offside as it's not exactly like Willian is the tallest player in the league.

A really poor defence from Jamie Carragher imo, and a new low for that Channel which has already been hitting some lows in recent weeks.

Denver 11-04-2019 12:35 AM

I'm so ready for City to lose this weekend as he will need to field a weakened teams because they have to beat Tottotemm by 2 and not conceded because if Tottenham score it gets harder

Mystic Mock 13-04-2019 05:36 PM

According to The Villa Channel, Cardiff's third penalty claim should've been given today against Burnley.

I just want to say join the club Cardiff and it's fans, you're the Premier League version of us by the looks of things where the officials don't give your side anything.

If you're a Brighton fan on here then you want to celebrate facing Cardiff soon as you'll be playing with 14 men.

Shaun 13-04-2019 07:12 PM

Looking forward to another MOTD where Warnock blames the officials for his entire -35 goal difference and not his shambles of a club

Any arrests yet over United's robbery of 3 points yesterday :idc:

Only satisfaction I can take is that at least it's clear now they are just as bad under Solksjaer as they were under Mourinho, won't be long before everyone turns on him

Denver 21-04-2019 04:54 PM

More pressure piled on Citeh, they slip up once they know they have lost the title

Alf 21-04-2019 04:56 PM

There is only one result that matters on Merseyside today. And that's the hammering of the Mancs by the Super Blues.

Crimson Dynamo 21-04-2019 04:58 PM

well done man u what a way to prepare for the big derby...

Shaun 21-04-2019 05:06 PM

Nobody wants to finish top 4 it seems

GiRTh 21-04-2019 07:09 PM

Mustafi is a liability. Three years he's been at Arsenal and still making stupid schoolboy errors. He wont ever be a top defender and to think we paid 35 million for the joker.

Alf 21-04-2019 07:21 PM

You Arsenal fans have a long time to wait until silverware come a'calling again. You're in the same spot as Manchester United, needing to rebuild the club culture again from the bottom up.

The best players who want to come to London would rather join Spurs, Chelsea and maybe even West Ham before you. Your appeal has gone.

GiRTh 21-04-2019 07:26 PM

Agree. There is only 45 million to spend in the summer and that is no where near enough when you think Pep spent 150 million on defenders two years ago. Many compare Emery to Klopps first years at Liverpool but Klopp had Coutinho who could be sold for 100 million. We dont have any players of that value so I suspect its gonna be a few more years before we are able to compete again.

Great, iconic, successful managers are always hard to raplace, only Paisley replacing Shankley stands out as a one off, but then he was Shankley's number 2.

Fergie and Wenger was always going to be difficult, because they built the greatest of cultures at their clubs, and if you can't match it, then you fail.

Manchester United were stupid to get rid of Moyes so soon, if he was given a chance to put his philosophies in place, they could be moving in the right direction now.

You need to scout a good manager who needs a break and to be given a chance with a big club, and then give him time (maybe 3-5 years) to put his seeds in place and then you might get some fruits growing again.

But I can imagine you're gonna go through the manager merry go round, and just get journeyman managers.

GiRTh 21-04-2019 07:55 PM

The state of the squad is very much Wengers fault. Mustafi, Xhaka etc are both Wenger signings and no where near good enough for the Premiership. Running down Aaron Ramseys contract was something Wenger did with Oxlade-Chamberlain, Wilshire, Sanchez, Ozil, Walcott etc. yet every couple of years we were hearing Wengers new contract. :puzzled: He took care of himself but not the players. Arsenal at the time were structured so Wenger definitely had a say in how the contract were handled.

I like Emery, at least I can see what he's trying to do while with Wenger I was completely confused with some of his game plans and tactics. The problem is the Chairman. I dont understand how with the mega TV deals Premiership teams have why there is only about 45 million to spend.

I think it became a bit harder for Wenger in the end. For most of his time, he only really had Chelsea in London and only really Manchester United, nationwide, to compete with for signing the best players. But with the emergence of Spurs in London and Manchester City and Liverpool, nationwide, then it became more competitive to sign the best.

Just remember Wenger is the man that brought top tier players like Bergkamp and Henry to Arsenal, they're the calibre of players he would have liked playing for him.

GiRTh 21-04-2019 08:26 PM

Wengers is Arsenals greatest ever manager, for sure, but he made a lot of mistakes. I agree that when he came to club Man U were the biggest rival and then of Chelsea but its not about that for me. Wenger obviously came here with advanced knowledge of the European scouting system and that can be seen in the signing of the like of Vieira and Henry. (BTW Bergkamp was already at the club when Wenger arrived) but he didnt take it to the next level and eventually everyone caught up with his scouting methods, improved on them and starting signing the top talent in Europe. Wenger was far too much of a control freak , for me. He didnt adapt, he thought his methods were always the best and finally everybody worked him and his teams out.

Did Rioch sign Bergkamp? How did he manage to pull off a coup like that?

Well let's say that Wenger built his team around Bergkamp.

Sometimes it's just that one star signing that can make all the difference, I don't think Arsenal have signed that kind of player since Henry. And Wenger did try, because he signed Ozil, but it turned out he wasn't as good as expected.. I think the failure to keep hold of Fabragas didn't help, he was looking like the man to carry you.

Rioch signed Bergkamp but the credit should go Arsenals old chairman David Dein. He's the one who actually signed Bergkamp. Apparently, according to folk lore, he had a hand written contract and told Bergkmp that he would not let him leave the room till he signed it. The club lost alot when he resigned and Kronke took over.

Shaun 24-04-2019 07:02 PM

Guess this is where the title gets decided, then :worry:

Denver 24-04-2019 07:21 PM

United so far the better team :clap1:

GiRTh 24-04-2019 07:24 PM

****** me 2-nil to Wolves.

Ramsay 24-04-2019 07:36 PM

I've always loved Wolves

Denver 24-04-2019 07:37 PM

Hahaha hopefully it will spur Unitied on when they see the result

Alf 24-04-2019 07:47 PM

They need that first goal, if they get it, they'll take United to the cleaners, the longer it goes on at nil nil, United could end up nicking it.

thisisdanny 24-04-2019 07:49 PM

I still think if United beat City tonight then it's not quite over for them cos Liverpool have Wolves on the final day which clearly won't be easy

A game which is at Anfield which is hard for any team, no team has won there in the league in years

Denver 24-04-2019 07:50 PM

Hopefully United win then Citeh get the jitters at Burnley and drop points then Rafa can finally win us that league title

Denver 24-04-2019 08:06 PM

You got to think how long till Nuno says at Wolves, he has beatost of the top 6 in his 1st season so I wouldnt be surprised to see his name banded around this summer

Alf 24-04-2019 08:12 PM

Go on the Citizens

Denver 24-04-2019 08:13 PM

This will hopefully spur on Unitied

Denver 24-04-2019 08:26 PM

**** off

Denver 24-04-2019 08:26 PM

So we are relying on Burnley to help out

Nicky91 26-04-2019 08:44 AM

Most players prefer to play, all Ajax have done is made this a huge stressful wait for the game

i think it will backfire
