Because she sells papers, for all the right reasons. :clap1:
…..and because she is gorgeous, natural, genuine, fun loving and very popular indeed with the majority of the public. :flutter:

Labour are Live in Parliament

She asked
for Conservatives to back her motion tonight.

Grant Shapps Transport Secretary

but assumed it was proper redundancies.
As they had done 2 years ago.

When he found out the next day
he says he was shocked

A little education for you....:hee:

Kate has given countless speeches and opinions on many issues, like mental health, childcare, addiction, the empowerment of women, early year intervention, disability, foster care, bereavement, depression, bullying etc etc.

Not the stuff you want to hear, apparently.

She is the future Queen; like Queen Elizabeth she doesn’t do controversial, desperate attention seeking opinions like some PR craving celeb as befits her status, and like Queen Elizabeth, she is highly respected and loved for maintaining that necessary apolitical stance.

I do get why she wouldn’t be your cup of tea however.

Did I ask for you pro royal guff? No... I wish I'd never mentioned her. Far more important things to discuss.

Hold on you suggesting her few public appearances and a couple of charity dinners offsets her paracitic life?
For you it might ... not me.

Can we now discuss the thread topic?

You admire the other Duchess though, right? Perhaps you would rather Kate couldn’t hack it, schemed to get to LA and be ‘independent’, used her ‘hated’ royal titles prominently to make mega deals and then need helpers to produce anything at all; lie through her teeth over and over again; never actually do anything of note that involves physically moving or leaving her reclusive mansion; no joy of being out there boosting the profile of tons of charities and being fantastic ambassadors for Britain at home and abroad.

Nah. Kate is worth every penny, give the gal a raise! :fan:

Back to the topic, unless you want to continue? :hee:

Kizzy 22-03-2022 11:08 AM

If you mean Megan she's not a duchess.
I'm just not into royals .. any royals. Her grinning on the front page of every paper in amongst all the misery at the moment is just grating on me. That's how I feel about it.

What? She's the Duchess of Sussex - and uses the title prominently ALL THE TIME.

Indeed, only the Queen can strip those titles but she hasn't done it because she hates them so much ...

Harry gets to stay Prince Harry forever though apparently, it's a "birthright" etc.

It would require an Act of Parliament to strip them of their titles. :nono:
I'm sure the Queen will always love Harry but it is said she is very hurt and disappointed in him.
Now Meghan....I wonder does the Queen curse in private...

I reckon the Queen privately probably quite likes Meghan, and may well be jealous of the freedom she has to live life to the full.

they always said that Margaret loved the attention and the queen hated it, so certainly in the early days of her reign she would have loved the private life

I reckon she rues the day Harry ever set eyes on her.
‘Living life to the full’ - According to their neighbours, Meghan rarely leaves the house, Harry goes to a few things alone and is seen aimlessly riding his bike a lot, they have no visitors, their children have no playmates, they don’t socialise or have parties like their neighbours do, they are known as the ‘recluses’.
They don't DO anything of note. Sad really.
Maybe that is why they are so attention seeking and get their PR to release this self - important statement or that tidbit at least once a week to desperately remind us they exist and are very prominent people on the world stage whose opinions matter. :hehe:

Serious question jet, if your neighbours were constantly on "jet watch" how comfortable would you feel?

I wouldn't, but if I was loaded and famous and wanted privacy I wouldn't live in a community surrounded by celebrites and mega rich bankers. I'd buy a house in the country with LOTS of land...or an island maybe :hehe:
....and I'd have parties!

It didn't work out too well for the last dude who bought an island to host parties.

Why don't you think they deserve any privacy unless they live like hermits? We all know they don't live in a mid terrace, but rather a nice big plot of land.

they now have until 5PM

I said what I would do; they can obviously live wherever and however they choose, but I was pointing out that at present, they don't seem to be 'living life to the full'.

Don't underestimate the good people of the beautiful city of Hull. We're a working class giant who don't get pushed around. We're the city of Wilberforce.

We beat London in the semi-final and Edinburgh in the final. We get things done and we win.
