Anything that presents itself as news should not spout propaganda regardless of sides. Any newspaper that posts a propaganda piece as their front page should lose any privileges they get for being a news source.

Steve's right, let's face it, Boris Johnson could **** on a Veteran's face while mugging an old lady in front of a camera and people would still vote Tory automatically.

The Tory party's a run by a man who has been sacked multiple times for lying yet their voters are believing him without question now. 'Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times? I must be a Tory voter.'

Things are getting worse and worse and people choose to vote for the party that's making it worse in hopes they can make it better. Stupidity like that is the reason why my faith in the public is dead.

Yeah no matter what Boris does he gets support, he could do all those things you mentioned and punch a baby in the face and snort coke in a hospital and it wouldn't make a difference :bored:.

So the press shouldn't be free?

Every single newspaper in history has had an editorial stance

I will shortly go and cast my vote followed by the traditional pint in the pub next door

There wouldn't be any News outlets left in the country.:joker:

It's not necessarily a bad thing though.

Also, may I add that this is so weird that elections take place on a week day.
This is so weird to me because in France we always vote on Sunday, and by that everybody is free to go vote (I usually go at 8am when it opens so I don't have to deal with my neighbours watching me pick the paper I will put in the enveloppe and judging me for it, they're so corny and curious). It's election day, so you dress up nice (well, not the times I go vote while still hangover from the night before, or going to vote directly from my hookup's place looking like a mess), and enjoy a nice rotisserie chicken and a bottle of wine (so French). And you patiently wait until 8pm to get the results. But maybe us French are weird for that too:joker:

I imagine you guys might have some free time from work to go vote or something? Or like, do you do it at lunch or after work? So weird.

Saph 12-12-2019 06:17 PM

I always wondered why a weekday too.. surely a Sunday makes most sense as its usually a half day for people who do work.

We can vote between 7am and 10pm which accommodates most people and if not we also have a postal vote option
