Same here, doesn't help that I can never understand a word he's saying either. I hope the character leaves soon.

So true, it annoys me how Ryan Murphy thinks all these characters always have to be so good looking for the audience to like them. That's what I liked about Lauren, she wasn't there for looks, she was just a brilliant character and most people grew to love her. Glee is quite a shallow show when you think about it.

I've been finding the phrase 'it's glee' helps with any of the storylines

Music from nowhere? It's Glee.
A Black gospel choir? It's Glee.
Two Characters with Down's Syndrome, five gay characters and a 28 year old playing a 17 year old? It's Glee.

Ninastar 05-02-2012 05:39 PM

exactly haha

They hate women. They haven't done anything that makes women look good at all, if you think about it. Rory is supposed to be an exchange student, but yet he's made no contact with Brittany who he's supposed to be living with. He also was only given a 7-episode contract, which was extended, but this is unfair on Samuel.

I think it's very shallow and judgemental.

Ninastar 05-02-2012 05:42 PM

oh and sexist, it's very sexist

Firewire 05-02-2012 05:43 PM

They don't break the stereotype either. Kurt is flamboyant and camp just like the gay stereotype. Same with Blaine, he isn't as flamboyant/camp but still stand out. Rachel is selfish and full of herself because she's a singer. Mercedes is black, so is obviously a diva. Brittany is blonde, so stupid. Santana is hispanic, so violent/aggressive. Tina is Asian, so has no lines.

Yeah totally which is a shame because it's meant to be the complete opposite of that.

Ninastar 05-02-2012 06:03 PM

The show does annoy me so much, I only watch it for Naya really

Callum 05-02-2012 06:07 PM

I only really watch it to discover brilliant old music which I would never have discovered had it not been for Glee. That's what I like about the show, it does cover current music but I like hearing old songs which I've never heard beore. Most of the characters I don't care for anymore.

Firewire 05-02-2012 06:09 PM

I watch it because it's quite addictive. I love the music. I don't really care for storylines any more. I watch for Naya also.

Ninastar 05-02-2012 06:12 PM

I like the music too but I don't like them doing newer stuff.

I'm in love with this though

Firewire 05-02-2012 06:17 PM

I love Damian's version!

Firewire 05-02-2012 06:18 PM

Right, who cast Kevin in a wheelchair? I cannot get over this.

Love that, I downloaded it earlier actually. I sometimes listen to the original and find myself preferring the Glee version but not with this one. I don't like them doing newer stuff either, they seem to be doing it lots more lately which is annoying. I much prefer them covering old songs. I really liked the Glee version of Girls Just Want to Have Fun, it was really haunting.

Firewire 05-02-2012 06:21 PM

I prefer when they do older songs too!

I have found myself only watching for the songs. The stories just keep going round in circles and I don't really care about the characters anymore.

I read somewhere it was going on a break, not sure how long or even if that's correct. If it is going on a break I hope they use this time to try and save the show. I'm reading more and more people are growing tired of it.

It would be a shame to stop altogether and I would love it if they could bring back that magic that was throughout season 1

Firewire 06-02-2012 03:45 PM

"Glad You Came" by the Wanted will be covered in an upcoming episode...

:( Can't stand that song, they keep doing loads of current hits lately. I want them to go back to doing more older songs.

It's a 7 week long break

I do too but I can only see it getting worse tbh, some of the characters have been ruined and the storylines are pretty absurd. I'll keep watching but I'm not confident it will have a future after Season 4.

They did so many great songs from days gone by during the first season and that's what I loved about the show originally. I think it's great when they do current songs too, but it seems the balance is heavily towards doing new songs and less of the older ones.

I don't always think they do the new songs any justice the same way they do with the older songs.

I hated it when they were rumours about the currant cast going, but now I think the show needs this. Like you say they have ruined some of the characters lately. As much as I like Rachel & Kurt, I get fed up of the episodes dedicated to these two.

Callum 08-02-2012 04:14 PM

The latest episode was boring, a real chore to watch. The scene with Kurt and Finn in the changing rooms was so cringeworthy. Loved Naya and Ricky doing La Isla Bonita though.

Firewire 08-02-2012 04:16 PM

I don't think it was boring. It was definitely a filler episode but I found it quite funny. The Roz and Sue scene was hilarious! But the only sad thing about the episode is that Tina wasn't in it at all :/

Marc 08-02-2012 05:00 PM

Ain't watched this s*** in ages.. Glad I stopped. My testicals grew back once I stopped watching

Doogle 08-02-2012 05:03 PM

Pfft you still watched it in the first place
