Mitchell 26-03-2014 09:18 AM

I had a think about the survey last night, maybe we should make a few alterations? Anyone have any suggestions?

Mitchell 26-03-2014 09:22 AM

8 people responded to that survey, a lot of people like Malta, but a lot of people also want a family holiday...

Kate! 26-03-2014 11:22 AM

Btw this is a two day task, so when I said it ended on Friday it doesn't, it ends on Thursday :pipe:

Loukas 26-03-2014 12:08 PM

what i think would be best for this task would be to find something to please everyone in our target market not just stick with just families, backpackers or 18-30's, we think of them as one group of people that we can please. I was thinking something along the lines of team building, bungee jumping, zip wires ect in a forest/jungle type area but somewhere thats like a 10 minute walk from a beach too? Maybe Australia?

Mitchell 26-03-2014 12:09 PM

Australia is one of the most popular tourist destinations though, Kate said it had to be one not as well known

Maybe Brazil? however somewhere not obvious in Brazil, like Rio. Maybe Ouro Preto? Ouro Preto has beautiful 17th century colonial architecture. Families can visit museums, the old mines, the churches ect. The 18-30YO's and backbackers can travel up to the forest which is a mile away to do outdoor activities. It's a designated World Heritage Site by UNESCO because of its outstanding Baroque architecture. Main economic activities are tourism, transformation industries, and mineral riches such as deposits of iron, bauxite, manganese, talc and marble.

Minerals of note are: gold, hematite, dolomite, tourmaline, pyrite, muscovite, topaz and imperial topaz. The imperial topaz is a stone only found in Ouro Preto.

Theres alot to work with with this place..
what do guys think?

Jake. 26-03-2014 01:33 PM

I like it Loukas, though I doubt that this current young-generation would be attracted to it as much.. if we aren't looking to sell to them then that's fine

yeah i can see what you mean Jake, they do also have carnivals in the summer, we can also play on that. It's only a suggestion but we should really have a location by this evening

yeah agreed :) then choosing things for all of us to do would be a good idea

Loukas 26-03-2014 02:05 PM

we could create wood cabins for people to stay in in the near by forest? That would appeal more to the younger audience?

Lake Crossing challenge - A team task involving some rope, poles and a lake
canoeing
Zip wire
Climbing & abseiling

Mitchell 26-03-2014 03:33 PM

You do know we're only promoting a place rather than building log cabins?
