MELBOURNE'S Big Brother couple Hayley Luscott and Andrew Halas have split, blaming their troubles on their appearance in this year's reality show.

Halas instigated the break-up and has moved out of the couple's Southbank apartment.

He partly blamed the show for the demise of their relationship.

"We had our troubles before going into the house," Halas admitted yesterday.

"We both knew it wasn't working out and needed one person to make the final call.

"I guess Big Brother played a part in the end, and not being able to get back to anything good."

The firefighter denied he was dating anyone else, rubbishing a tipoff to Confidential that he was seeing someone in the entertainment industry.

"There's definitely no third party," Halas said.

"I'm not really connected to the showbiz world.

"I don't even see anyone from BB any more."

The TV twosome dated for a year before entering the BB house in April as a secret couple.

Halas hinted the pair would walk down the aisle once the show's hype blew over, but said the wedding claims were constructed by producers as a ratings grab.

Halas has returned to his family's home in Eltham, but will move into his new pad in South Melbourne in January.

If it helped them to feel better so it's great. However, they were a good couple, nice to watch so it's quite sad.

Glad Andrew's seen the light and got rid of that minger Hayley :spin:

The one and only Vesna has uploaded a video and is in the running to become a BB08 housemate!

She looks pretty different with the hair but she's still the same crazy Ves.

It would be great if she got in :thumbs:

I didn't check all of them but it will be a hard choice.

There is nothing in term and conditions saying Ex-HM's cannot audition via the web.

I'm voting Vesna... but they wont take her... coz she would have gained fame in 2005... unless they put her as part of a twist.

And if you look at the top 100 most of them are males... Paul from BB04 is auditioning. I'll give BB Australia one more try... if Kyle doesn't make it work, then thats the end of that chapter.

Ahhhhh I just want the adverts to start, so we can get all excited lol how sad.
It's just i'm looking forward to it, as it looks like it's going to a nice fresh start with bb:aus.
