Aww, I think "character wasn't going anywhere" is always a piss poor excuse. These people are fictional and a good writer could work wonders with any character.

What they mean is "We don't agree with SOC's decision to recast Michelle and have no interest in developing her so we'd rather let Jenna go and do something else".

Bit stupid though, in terms of experience and career she's one of the best actresses they have and they've done nothing with her.

She also tweeted Tamzin Outhwaite saying she missed her the other day so it was hinting she'd left.

I mean it was a bloody disaster tbh. The actress would have been decent in a new character role, but she was nothing like Michelle should have been or ever was.
