Good story, sounds like he's more up for it than Bruce, anyway. Plus I rate him higher.
Mancini will come Reading! lol

We need a good manager.
You can have Bruce

Everton chasing giant Serbian international centre-half.

"It has been reported today that Everton boss David Moyes is keen on signing the American international Neven Subotic, currently plying his trade at Borussia Dortmund.

The 6′4″ centre-half was born in Yugoslavia, but escaped the war by moving to the USA, where he played for his adopted country at U17 and U20 levels.

When he turned 21 he decided to play for his country of birth and has since made two appearances for Serbia.

He has been impressive in his first season in Dortmund after arriving from the Bundesliga 2 side Mainz, and the News of the World says that David Moyes have had scouts watching him this month with a view to taking him to Merseyside."

"Peterborough boss Ferguson chasing Reading job

"

Darren Ferguson is considering his future at newly-promoted Championship club Peterborough United.

The Daily Mail says Ferguson is on a collision course with Peterborough over the club's compensation demand, which could wreck a move to Reading.

The Peterborough manager is on a three-man short list for the vacant job at the Madejski Stadium and is believed to have an escape clause in his contract which would allow him to leave Peterborough for a five-figure sum.

But Peterborough director of football, Barry Fry, is demanding £1million in compensation for Ferguson, who has led Fry's club to the Championship after two successive promotions, and a further £1m should he guide Reading to the Barclays Premier League.

Reading may turn to Swansea's Roberto Martinez or Watford's Brendan Rodgers."

2 Promotions in 2 seasons, i guess he has learn't from the best!

Keep up the good work Ben

Manchester City believe they have won the race to sign Manchester United forward Carlos Tevez and Aston Villa midfielder Gareth Barry - for a combined fee of £42m.
(Full story: News of the World)

And City are also lining up a £30m bid for Barcelona's Champions League-winning striker Samuel Eto'o.

What absolute twats. Going in for all the players we've been linked with.

Locke. 31-05-2009 03:20 PM

Barcelona are poised to offer £40m for Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas.

Manchester United could bid £15m for Real Madrid striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar as a replacement for Carlos Tevez.

AC Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti will this week be confirmed as the new manager of FA Cup winners Chelsea, with the club preparing to step up their chase of £50m Atletico Madrid forward Sergio Aguero.

Newcastle defender Steven Taylor is wanted by both Tottenham and West Ham.

Athletic Bilbao midfielder Javi Martinez says he would like to join Liverpool.

Locke. 31-05-2009 03:21 PM

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp wants to lure Chelsea winger Joe Cole, who played under him at West Ham, to White Hart Lane.

Chelsea and Liverpool are battling it out for Paris St Germain midfielder Stephane Sessegnon - who is rated at about £12m.

Steve Bruce wants Portsmouth striker Peter Crouch when he takes the manager's job at Sunderland.

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp is willing to pay £8m for Sunderland midfielder Kieran Richardson.

Lauren 31-05-2009 03:22 PM

He can keep his manky paws off Richardson.

Locke. 31-05-2009 03:22 PM

Liverpool's players have told manager Rafael Benitez that he should bring Newcastle striker Michael Owen back to Anfield.

Newcastle defender Jose Enrique says he wants to stay at the relegated club.

Everton are leading the race for Leeds United's £7m-rated midfielder Fabian Delph.

Manchester United will not let midfielder Paul Scholes leave Old Trafford, despite reported interest from Stoke and Bolton.

Bolton manager Gary Megson has made a £6m offer for Spurs midfielder Tom Huddlestone.
(Full story: Sunday Mirror)

Huddlestone will be part of a mass exodus from Tottenham this summer. The other players up for sale are Didier Zokora, Gareth Bale, David Bentley, Heurelho Gomes, Roman Pavlyuchenko and Darren Bent.

Lauren 31-05-2009 03:29 PM

Didn't know Bent and Pavlyuchenko were for sale from spurs? Christ, it actually is an exodus. Could either be an amazingly good, or terrible season for them next, then.

Locke. 31-05-2009 03:34 PM

They should just make the average amount of changes instead of selling half their squad, the second half of this season went great for them and would probably continue that way next season without all the changes.

Locke. 31-05-2009 04:10 PM

Carlo Ancelotti took a step closer to becoming Chelsea's new manager after he announced his contract at AC Milan has been terminated by mutual consent.

Rafa Benitez has rubbished reports in the Spanish media that an agreement has been reached with Real Madrid for the transfer of Xabi Alonso.
The midfielder has been linked with a move away from Anfield this summer but the Reds boss has poured cold water on suggestions the Spain international is set to leave.

The Liverpool manager said: "The situation is clear, we do not want to sell our best players and that includes Xabi.

"He had a very good season for us and can be an important player in the future. There is no agreement with Real and we want him to be part of our plans going forward. "

Fulham central defender Brede Hangeland has stated that he is keen to sign a new contract with the club.

The Norway international has been linked with big money moves to Arsenal and Manchester City, following his impressive performances for the Cottagers this season.

And the player himself has also stated that he would consider a move away from Craven Cottage, if a bigger club came in with an offer.

However, he now seems happy to stay at Fulham, with the promise of European football next season, and is eager to sign a contract extension with the west London club.

AC Milan have confirmed that their new coach will be Leonardo, replacing Carlo Ancelotti, who has confirmed he will be leaving this summer after eight years following his agreement to end his contract a year early.

Barcelona are set to make a £40million bid for Cesc Fabregas.

The newly-crowned kings of Europe have made the Arsenal captain their priority target.

Arsenal signed Fabregas from Barcelona six years ago for a bargain £750,000 as they took advantage of Spanish employment laws concerning young footballers.
