Because that's what the polls were suggesting. If you're arguing that small victories don't count, then you might want to post in the referendum thread.

Were they saying it would be a landslide, or that's what the polls suggested? If the latter, then the polls always have some wiggle-room, regardless of what the polls said I don't think anyone reasonably thought it would be a landslide.

And I used the word reasonable on purpose, as that seldom applies to the mainstream media ;)

the people who have been busy for loads of hours counting the votes: https://media.tenor.com/images/5c735...8b72/tenor.gif

Counting all the votes once - wrong
Counting some twice - right

Bigger margin of victory than in 16. He may get a recount, although his lawyers have filed using misinformation, but the state is secure.

That's a Big amount
a Million

I knew he'd want recounts

God forbid the fool be gracious in loss.

Oliver_W 04-11-2020 05:15 PM

ehhh I don't really see the problem with recounts. Though it'd be funny if it backfired and gave Biden a bigger majority :joker: not that it'd make a difference overall, but it'd pour salt in the wound.

Re Trump's tweet, it might seem odd that the "blue surge" seemed to take his leads, but like I said upthread it's because postal votes are usually counted last, and usually Dem.

That said, if EVERY postal shows up as Democrat, there might be something going on.

Trump told all his supporters not to vote by post many times and to vote on the day, so its no great surprise there are few trump postal votes

I don't think so, the massive increase in postal votes is because of Covid and as Dems in general have been taking it much more seriously, you would expect most postal votes to lean towards them.

Oh sure, even in the best of times postal skews Dem. But if every single one (I don't even know if that happened, let alone if it's been claimed) came out as being Democrat, at the very least it should be looked at.

Even the most gun-totting hicksville places in Texas wouldn't have 100% Republican turnout in person on election day, and if it did that should be looked at too!

You really need to reevaluate your posting habits, some of the stuff you say is pretty disgusting.

Because he is so old
