More transfer cash if Liverpool refinancing deal goes ahead

Liverpool owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett are hopeful of landing a £350million refinancing deal.

Sunday Mirror Sport reveals that accountants from the Royal Bank of Scotland and Wells Fargo are currently examining Liverpool's financial figures with a view to agreeing a loan package that will ease the pressure on the two Americans.

The move could also bring an improved summer transfer budget for manager Rafa Benitez.

The deal will hinge on Hicks and Gillett pouring more of their own personal finance into Anfield - and the pair are looking to raise funds by selling off some of their other sporting interests in the United States.

If Alonso goes we need to sign another quality center mid, unless Rafa plans on dropping Gerrard back in there and bringing in a new striker and playing 4-4-2

Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard is poised to ease the pain of the FA Cup Final defeat against Chelsea by signing a new five-year deal at Goodison Park.

The 30-year-old is at an advanced stage in talks and is expected to join defenders Phil Jagielka and Joseph Yobo in committing his future shortly.

Skysports.com understands Olympiakos have tabled a bid for Blackburn's Matt Derbyshire.

Derbyshire enjoyed a successful loan spell at the Greek giants during the second half of the season after leaving Ewood Park during the January transfer window.

No hes been on the transfer list since last summer, and he was laughing at the hillsbrough memorial thing aswell.

Since Valencia are in debt, and if alonso can go for 22, thats a bargain, others would happily pay 30.
