Surely she’d be contacting Lynne, Little Mo, Zoe, Belinda, Alfie etc who would explain that Kat wasn’t dead or that they’d heard nothing

If I'm right Kat doesn't speak to Zoe, Lynne or Little Mo.

She thinks Belinda is paying for her body to be shipped over or what not and that she can't get in contact with Alfie

She does speak to Little Mo. They went to Charlie's funeral alongside Belinda.
