I agree the grounds are atmospheric and packed and old Trafford looks superb now its increased to 25,000....but English and welsh grounds are a lot smaller though than some of those in india and aussie (and even nz and pakistan too) mcg is 90,000 the indian home is 90,000 ...the biggest in England is 32000...lords cant seem to get expanded due to local protests..id like to see a massive new cricket arena (perhaps multi purpose too) built in England

Sadly this is why I have said many times major test series should never be played in countries like Sri Lanka and England. You can guarantee at least one test match a series with be determined by weather and in this case an Aus victory has been stopped

LOOOL Warner just said on TMS " sadly I hooked one to Joe again" TROLL GIF

I like the bit where you bolded the MAJOR part

You know I hold your sporting knowledge at a higher level them most on the board MTVN BUT if you think it is ok that in MAJOR test series like the Ashes or when big countries like Ireland and South Africa tour that at LEAST ONE game a series will be determined by weather well maybe I need to reassess my view of yourself

MTVN 04-08-2013 11:16 PM

Well I just can't take the argument seriously that the home of cricket, and the most enthusiastic test playing country in the world, shouldn't be allowed to host games. Where should England play their home Ashes series then?

Legend killer 05-08-2013 07:56 AM

Well if we want a major series like the Ashes to be resulted in a weather free scenario well I am sorry my good man it will have to be held in Aus year after year. Yes you may have to deal with a bit of home cooking but AT LEAST the series will be resulted thanks to the play rather then who gets lucky with the weather

Legend killer 05-08-2013 11:26 AM

LOOOOOOL what pathetic officiating how the **** can Hill not give that out looked clear as day. And then to make it worse Umpire call raises it's ugly head

Legend killer 05-08-2013 11:27 AM

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!

Justice is served!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

**** off back to South Africa A you bum

MTVN 05-08-2013 11:34 AM

lol you didn't care when Smith survived through umpires call though despite 49.9% of the ball hitting the stumps

Umpires call is needed, though I do think Australia shouldn't lose a review there

Legend killer 05-08-2013 11:42 AM

Root replacing Trott as the most boring batter in history Clarke had the chance to send the bore back to the pavilion

Legend killer 05-08-2013 11:43 AM

Smith = The People's Champ

Root = The biggest bore in cricket history

Legend killer 05-08-2013 11:47 AM

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

Cook doing a rain dance on the balcony

Legend killer 05-08-2013 11:37 PM

Did anyone else cringe with the England players celebrating on the balcony????

WTF are you celebrating you have just been totally EMBARASSED by one of the worst Aussie teams in the last 100 years in your own backyard and your celebrating drawing a game due to bad weather FM

I can't believe i'm saying this but I actually think Aus are going to whitewash England over in Australia

Before this series I thought England has the superior bowling attack however the Aus seamers(Harris and Siddle) have really shown up the England pace attack including Anderson who looked like an average joe when the ball wasn't swinging

I actually think the Aus batters are just as good or even better then there South African counterparts but are just useless at playing spin as we saw in India. I fully expect Watson to destroy the England attack on the hard pitches of Aus and with the left handers not having to worry about spinning conditions to much I really don't see how England can help them

PS: The depth in Australian spinning is down right embarrassing needs sorting

Edges for a 4 to bring up his 50

Tunes Out

Edit: Hello Lyon

Legend killer 09-08-2013 04:12 PM

England test by test making sure the decline in test cricket continues. Shamelessly trying to bore the Aussies , fans and officials into submission

I'm sorry but there is no defending this utter rubbish

Legend killer 09-08-2013 04:44 PM

This will go down as the most pathetic innings played in test cricket history

As for Baistow wow just wow what the **** was that ****e

Novo 09-08-2013 05:13 PM

Shut up and enjoy the masterclass from the Champions, you aren't even worthy really but we'll let you enjoy it anyhow

Legend killer 09-08-2013 08:37 PM

Still can't get my head around that performance today the single most boring negative batting performance If we could just bottle up that England team we could have a cure for insomnia

All joking aside there is no way of defending that today horrible negative approach. Baistow along Root should never be allowed to play international cricket again

Legend killer 10-08-2013 09:05 PM

Am loving the Aussies shoving the Words back down that cocky tit Botham's throat with a bit more luck outside the 2nd test they could easily be winning this series at the very least drawing it.

Out with them outplaying England for the second test in a row at the very least they deserve to tie this series

Legend killer 12-08-2013 11:36 AM

Jeering the people's champ why don't they go and jeer Nelson Mandela and Gandhi while they are at it SMH

The people's champ's wrath will be strong

MTVN 13-08-2013 03:54 PM

Very convenient how LK stops posting just before the Aussies collapse yesterday

Was a good test actually, was up for the first three days. Both teams need to make changes really, Bairstow's not good enough, Root probably not an opener, don't think Khawaja is good enough either and the Aussies are better off with Starc than Bird

Broad's second spell yesterday though :worship: unplayable

Legend killer 17-08-2013 09:23 PM

Fuken disgusted at how Aus responded to me supporting them. How the **** you collapse from 170-2 to 210+ all out lool, Got there pathetic

All this rubbish I keep hearing about Clarke being on great form loool??? WTF he has had one good innings has sucked pretty much every other innings going out to nothing balls his back is quite clearly affecting him

All that said if I was an England fan I would be extremely worried. The Aus have actually show the England pace attack up. Ando has been shown to be a nothing bowler without the aid of perfect swing conditions and the outside Bell the other batters have also been shown up. It's just Aus and there batting order is the most pathetic thing I have ever seen which is covering for a POOR POOR England performance

MTVN 17-08-2013 10:34 PM

tbh the winter series will be the really good one, the Aussies have been terrible but are still in transition really and have a few young players who have potential, give it a few months and with Lehman having had more time as coach and they'll be a lot more competitive

Expect we will still win of course, but it will be close

Legend killer 17-08-2013 11:12 PM

I can tell you now you won't be beating Aus in Aus

The pace attack is all important over there and they actually have a better attack

Swann will be nullified as they will make sure there are zero spin condtions

There useless batters will be made to look average by the bouncy batting condtions

The people's champ will be fuming after being jeered by the England fans

Draw or Aus win narrow margin
