But seriously, you should watch it. There is a reason 99% of television critics call it the greatest television show ever

It's not really about gangs, drugs, or police. It's more of a piece on the urban city in general in all aspects. Crime, Politics, Schools, media. It's the greatest story told visually ever.

There has never been a show or movie were as great of characters. There are 50 + characters all with rich backstory and development. It is the blueprint for character driven drama if there ever was one

Glenn. 28-03-2012 05:18 PM

The Wire is overrated. Even if I did want to watch it I wouldn't purely for the fact so many morons on here have basically trolled about it.

Roy Mars III 28-03-2012 05:20 PM

How can you call something overrated that you've never seen :suspect:

Obviously though, as my a view is one that rivals the fanboys/girls on the forum though it will be branded "trolling" and what not.

Tbh, the Wire Cult never appeared until the Hunger Games fandom took off in earnest. It was just a response from you guys because you thought the Hunger Games was stupid. Thats how I see it.

Niall 28-03-2012 06:11 PM

But I will say this: my Dad watched all of the seasons of the Wire and from what I saw of it, it looked pretty damn good.

it was obviously just a joking copying the Hunger Games cult. I started the thread five mins after the one Scott started.

and I've read all three hunger games books, and liked them(movie as well)

Well you're the exception imo, Roy. You've read the books and all.
