Oh I agree 100%, it's a sham alright

Because I fail to see how not staying in touch is a "sham" that doesn't even make sense. Shame does. Simples.

No.... I got it from the part where you said, rather caustic in tone,

Nope, it's an indication that I agree with MTVNs view, is that alright with you?
Because his comment was less to do with people staying in touch (ie due to frienship)... I feel it was more to do with staying in touch - to share the winnings.... hence why he said SHAM.

As for saying 'sham' doesn't even make sense - it appears even the fm, Jo1791 even is prepared to accept that what Jay said, could have been meant as in SHAM, not SHAME.

I find it quite strange that you cannot accept another fms opinion, even though you may not agree with it.

yes. After all, I did think that it was regarded very much that we can disagree till the cows come home, but that other fms opinions were still to be respected - whether those opinions are shared or not.

Nice to see that we do agree on that.

Your opinion was being challenged and scrutinised, it's called debate, you were not being disrespected

I disagree. It was very clear that far from being challenged (far less scrutinised!!) - it was simply being dismissedl, riduculed and regarded as all that you posted earlier. Let's not dwell though.

'sham really' - I agree with Jay 100% in what he tweeted.

Can I suggest you don't take things so personally and sensitively in future then :)

Can I suggest you accept other's opinions without attempting to berate and dismiss said opinions in future then. :)

Tbf, you are just as guilty for dismissing other's opinions, even when they are based on fact;)

So let me get this right. You come into a thread, select one part of a comment, make a reply on that single part, which you know are admitting that it had nothing to do with the forum (which encompassess threads, comments, posts, etc) - for what purpose exactly Fruitcake?

If you have nothing to add to the thread and it's subject matter - why have you posted?

I'll let all of the above posts speak for themselves.

I at least have kept to the topic of the the thread and the conversation re the Jay/Alex the money etc.....

Not at all. I am happy to accept another viewpoint. Not agreeing with it is an entirely different matter altogether. ;)

But not agreeing with your view point is seen as dismissing it?

I have no problem accepting other's opinions over my own when the evidence is staring at me in the face. :)

Talking of evidence staring people in the face..... that word.. 'SHAM' - that's a perfect example of my very point - and one in which you alluded to yourself. so yes, even when there is very clear evidence staring at me, that evidence being what Jay himself tweeted, I can accept other may feel Jay mistyped and actually meant SHAME. That's plausible. My view is as equally plausible. :)

Where can I learn the art of advanced smiley-reading as mentioned earlier in this thread? It sounds like a good cash cow to me, and much more modern than crystal balls and tarot and all that old hat stuff. Certified courses only please, otherwise not worth my time.

Oh, and shamE on Alex for keeping all the money!

I must have missed the nicety in all the posts of yours that I quoted just a few minutes ago.

Can you at least try to stick to the topic Fruitcake?

thesheriff443 27-11-2011 06:32 PM

there was a time i thought i was perfect!,
now i dont think that word is good enough for me,

You need to actually read the words, and not rely on the smileys.....

Surely your little Merlin wizard chappy in your avatar might have been able to help you !!

I love the BIB. :D

shame indeed but good for her all the same.

No I didn't allude to it, read my post and I started with 'Even if'. 'Shame' makes more sense.

And there have been other quibbles on here where you have been faced with facts and you still won't accept that your opinion might be wrong..when you yourself cannot back up your opinions...
