But yeah, that's why I like to get them from shelters, because alot of them have had bad lives beforehand |
my black and white dog was like that when he first came when you would put your hand near his face to stroke him he would cower like he was expecting to be hit or something  and when anybody talked to him he would always wee himself he was found in a bin on christmas day
|
he wasnt dumped in the bin though he was sleeping in it but still

Not at all - there are very different reasons and very different type dogs in both places. Not everyone wants a pure bred, some are more than happy with a Heinz57 mutt....same way as many cat owners are happy with a mere moggie. It's just personal choice for very different personal reasons. |
you still pay for rescue dogs dont you i had to pay £200 for one of mine :suspect:
they say thats just to cover the cost of them being there but he was only there for like 2 days was he ordering caviar and HD porn on room service or something :nono: |

I'd two cats in that situ - sisters, got them from the Animal Shelter when they were about 8weeks old. White died when she was 19, her sister Black lasted 2 more years. Black seemed very lost for a long time, it was heartbreaking....but when she realised that she got all the attention and all the love........she seemed happy enough with that. |

She who must be obeyed cost me the grand total of £35 from Cats Protection League - which effectively covered only the cost of them neutering her.
