Mumford + Sons!

Coldplay were the runners-up despite leading for the majority of the competition. The Maccabees were third with 12%, whilst Hot Chip and Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds each received 5%.

You'd have thought that, with 8 nominees, the vote for Best British Single would've been closer... but one won with five votes. The list of nominations were:

And the winning song, with 24%, is...

Raph 25-11-2012 04:33 PM

"Bad Girls", by M.I.A.!

"Primadonna" and "Spectrum" were joint runners-up with 18% apiece. Paloma Faith's "Picking up the Pieces" was the only other song to receive more than one vote, whilst "Laura", "Angels", "How we Do (Party)" and "Anything Could Happen" received one each.

Raph 25-11-2012 04:36 PM

I remember when Primadonna was performed on This Morning, that's when I first heard it and thought yo is that catchy!! Aw, but it didn't win
