Scandal is actually based on a true "fixer" that worked for George bush and she helped smooth the Monica lewinsky thing with Bill Clinton. In the show Kerry has a hot affair with the president.

The Internship - 8/10

Didn't get great reviews but thought anything with Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson leading must be good so gave it a watch. Wasn't the cleverest or most unpredictable film ever but was reliably funny with a decent plot and was very watchable, can't ask for much more if you're just looking for an easygoing comedy really

watched it ages ago. Similar story to Ashton Kutcher's No strings attached, with Natalie Portman. Ashton sucks as an actor so friends with benefits waaay better but you could give no strings attached a go if you enjoyed friends with benefits.

Currently watching sky high. 2005. If a guy like warren peace was interested in me in high school I woulda creamed on a daily basis.

Spring Breakers - 2/10. Can't even be bothered writing a sentence about it.

Lars and the Real Doll - 6/10. Pretty weird movie starring Ryan Gosling who spends all of his free time locked in his house alone and doesn't really speak to anybody, ends up buying a sex doll off the internet and starting a real relationship with it. I watched it thinking it was a comedy like it says it is on IMDb but it felt more like a drama to me and was actually quite decent.

Just finished watching Johnny Depp's brilliant directorial debut film "The Brave"
unfortunately arsehole American Critics slaughtered it on it's acclaimed debut in France (1997) so much so, that Depp refused to allow it to be screened in America, this means that a classic film will NOT be seen by millions of people.
An unsubtitled copy is to be found online if you know where to look - the next best thing is this Portuguese subtitled copy on YouTube

This is an acutely observed and beautifully filmed tragedy which not many people will be able to view without feeling emotionally involved.

Look out for Iggy Pop at 1h28m58s Blink and you'll miss him

I also like how the Portuguese translation for fcuk is Caramba!

The Legend of the Psychotic Forest Ranger - Quite funny but kinda got crap towards the end. Decent spoof horror - 3/5

The Monkey's Paw (2013) Set in New Orleans, kinda slow to start but worth persevering to the 1Hr mark when all hell breaks loose!

The film centers on Jake Tilton, who acquires a mystical "monkey's paw" talisman that grants its possessor three wishes. Jake finds his world turned upside down after his first two wishes result in co-worker Tony Cobb being resurrected from the dead. As Cobb pressures Jake into using the final wish to reunite Cobb with his son, his intimidation quickly escalates into relentless murder-- forcing Jake to outwit his psychotic friend and save his remaining loved ones.
