I think Luisa will win (ugh), but I am so glad that Leah is in the FINAL and she has done well to get that far:).

Gutted that Neil got fired.. I wish him and Francesa all the best for the future!

the truth 10-07-2013 11:35 PM

after all these months it all came down to 2 simple ideas ....often in business its the simple ideas that work....based on the business plans there is no doubt the right 2 candidates are in the final. some cringeworthy moments tonight...Jordan was just a fiasco..just a shame as we never got to understand the business idea......then francescos admittance she plucked her £5 million turnover number from mid air was humilification......poor old neil, terrific salesman, great worker, great on the tasks, but in the end he simply hadn't thought of a good enough money making plan
leah was always going to get there, shes a doctor and shes going for facial treatment, sadly theres huge demand for it ...though the market isn't emerging as Karen brady said, the market is already a bit flooded....luisa well shes a pretty unpleasant person, but she supposedly has 3 businesses (not sure how much profit) and her online one stop shop for baking seems like a plan with legs.....Karen bradys comment shes delighted its a woman, was just sad, is she 20 years behind the times or what? its about the bets person, gender is irrelevant....I actually think francescas market was more exciting.....so the right plans possibly made it, sugar doesn't want to do botox and he will try his best to convince himself luisas plan is better, but in the end botox will sell for the next few years...lets not even mention the rubix cube

I don't understand why people whose business plans have fatal flaws are even cast, ugh.

exactly....they all knew jordans plan was written on the back of someone elses matchbox, so why even allow him onto the show? is it a deliberate set up to humiliate the contestants

Jords 11-07-2013 02:05 AM

Interviews should probably be done mid-series because its ridiculous how bad Jordan's and Neil's business plans were, they went through the whole process for nothing.

Franny :(

I want Luisa to win, its wierd I couldnt stand her but the past few weeks I have thought she ought to win. Shes ok. Leah is alright but eh too self-important.

It's really clear that it is. They like the interview ep to have big, embarrassing takedowns. If we take Lord Sugar at his word that he'd only had a brief glance at the business plans beforehand, he should be pretty embarrassed about that lack of familiarity. Why spend so much time paying attention to candidates who have no chance of winning? The interview episodes can be entertaining without letting people with terrible business plans (or some glaring thing that makes them an unsuitable partner in their resume) into the process.

of course it is, but then on the other hand he walked into that with his eyes wide open, and he is an Oxford graduate, oh dear.

I guess Neil and Jordan discredit the "best plans" go through to the finals. It's really about personal performance. I hate the favoritism he showed to Neil though, at least he fired him. That tear was weak!

Leah should win because the whole morality thing was thought up so there'd be a flaw in her plan. It's a crap flaw.

youd have to wonder how moral a lot of businesses are...personally I think the whole cosmetic obsession is sad and in some ways it is immoral to encourage this self obsession.....but it will no doubt be a profitable business, with leahs expertise (id have to question her profit margins will be that large, has she factored in hidden costs and the costs of requiring other medical professionals on board as it expands, not to forget any unhappy clients? but combined with sugars money, experience, endless connections...Id expect the profits to roll in after a few years

Jamesy 11-07-2013 06:21 PM

I can see Leah's business costing far more than she's outlined. Although there's no arguing that there's a lot of money to be made in it. It brings up a lot of moral issues, and that's probably why Lord Sugar sees it as such a risk.

Wanted Fran to win but I agree about Luisa - couldn't stand her initially but she grew on me, she clearly knows her stuff and has a great business plan. I feel the opposite about Leah though and can't see her winning anyway, her plan is too high risk for Lord Sugar.

And I noticed she always sits like shes got something up her arse when they're in the boardroom - clearly its her own head

Well if Yasmina and Kate are the only competition then probably yes - even though Leah's lips look like mine when I've had an allergic reaction to Spam
