I hope the England match doesn't knock BB too much, I expect that to get around 6m.
|
1.88 million including +1
Celebrity Big Brother scored 1.77m (8.3%), while a further 116k/0.8% caught the programme on +1. Bit on the Side brought in 613k (5.2%) at 10.30pm BOTS seems to be rating pretty low I know ive stopped watching it. |
I thought CBB would get 1.50million because Football was on
|
Big Brother interested 1.43m (7.1%) including +1 (152k/1.4%) on +1
Celebrity Big Brother's Bit on the Psych grabbed 501k (4.6%) an hour later (46k/0.8%). |

It hasn't had a very good week, a lot of things have kind of ruined the ratings in the last few days, including Educating Yorkshire and England matches. I'm hoping tonight could be back over 2m. |

Its to much and this series just seems to be hollow and pointless. We started off the year with the highest rated CBB averaging 2.81 and the final bringing in 3.61 million viewers which was massive for Channel 5. Then the normal summer series became a surprise ratings/media hit and for the first time since 2010 highlight shows were weekly hitting over 2 million and older viewers were returning with eviction nights becoming events again as ratings showed. The final then brought in 2.2 million which was almost 500,000 up on BB13's 1.7 million. Without CBB12 this year would have been seen simply as the year Channel 5 had 2 hit shows on their hands and how BB managed to make a comeback. Now we can expect headlines at the end of Summer BB's "CBB records lowest final ever" making people think the whole franchise is a flop. For one year it would be nice to just have the January CBB and BB14 go out on a high and left to leave a lasting impression and hunger for more next year. That's just my opinion though lol. |

CBB12 is not too bad, but I am starting to think it may rate a tiny bit lower than CBB10. Not too sure though because judging by the first few ratings, the officials timeshifted a brilliant 500k-600k for the weekend shows. I think this year the officials will save CBB12. We will see tomorrow when the next batch are released, I think the officials will end up being around the same as CBB10 (2.3m), if not, 2.2m. No lower than that. But, in general, they must only have a winter CBB and then a summer BB. That's it. It would launch with more I think (especially CBB in the winter) |
Celebrity Big Brother interested 1.28m (7.1%) at 10pm (152k/1.4%) and Celebrity Big Brother's Bit on the Psych grabbed 501k (4.6%) an hour later (46k/0.8%).

I want my 4 week January fix then the summer series back as the main event. To be honest I think thats what will happen next year. Summer BB should stay at 10 weeks still though just like BB3 and BB5 were as it can get stail. No more overkill. |

Tbh I'm not surprised at the ratings, I don't think this series has been that great, I feel the celebs really don't want to be there, it just feels like a job to them.

1.90m incl +1 last night, shame it's under 2m, but it will hit that this week.

Wonder what todays officials will be.
|
Officials are out:
Monday- 2.51m incl +1 Tuesday- 2.53m incl +1 Wednesday- 2.32m incl +1 Thursday- 2.52m incl +1 Friday- 2.28m excl +1 Saturday- 1.89m incl +1 Sunday- 2.50m incl +1 Some great ratings there, especially for Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. Weird to think that the evictions were lower than all the other shows, bar Saturday. All those 2.5m are higher than anything CBB10 got bar launch  Even higher than the final (2.41m). |
Great officials!

It's sad to see the ratings for both BB & CBB decline over the years, I guess the format does become tired no matter how the producers try to spice it up year after year. also the appetite for reality TV has fallen after its heyday about a decade ago.
And the CBB series well that is suffering from being on too often and not having really well known and high calibre Celebrities. the now usual smatterings of Z listers with a few almost complete unknowns in there definitely has not helped. I wonder at what stage the show will be cancelled, I wonder what the minimum viewing figures would be needed to keep the sponsors and advertisers happy ? 1.5M or 1M perhaps as low as 750,000...... a big drop from it's Heyday when it used to get 4 or 5 Million viewers (or more). I have loved the show in all it's formats since it started and hope it carry's on for a few more years but not at the expense of the format, I want a show that still resembles the social experiment set up all those years ago....!!!! |
Good ratings

Welll.....my guess would be if it is regularly hitting under a million. Ben Frow has been quoted as saying that the likelihood is that BB will be put out at 11 before it's cancelled, plus he basically implied that he didn't want to make the same mistake C4 did and not have anything to replace it. It's nowhere near cancelling time yet - Frow's made it clear he's happy with the show as it is, BB14 did fantastically, hopefully getting new and old viewers. Having said that, I wouldn't be surprised if he dumps the Summer CBB - in fact I'd be delighted. Leave them wanting more - IAC still hits 10 million in the ratings and that's 3 weeks a year, nothing more, nothing less. |
