Oi....leave Rod out of it...

Seriously though, the likes of this scumbag, and the so called mothers, don't deserve to live let alone be released in the future.

I really hope they're not segregated from the rest of the inmates. Can you imagine the reception from the other women in there? Sadly though, I suppose they will be separated for their own safety.

Cherie 18-12-2013 03:27 PM

35 years, should have been life really  he wanted to cross the line, and when he crossed that I assume he would want to cross a different line, no point letting him out.

arista 18-12-2013 03:41 PM

Watkins is still saying he did nothing wrong?

I hope in Jail
he admits he is Guilty

there's hundreds of victims out
there and you're never going
to find them because the mothers are in on it'.]

These Women are as bad as him

Gstar 18-12-2013 04:21 PM

He's gonna get bullied to death in prison lol shame.

Iceman 18-12-2013 05:13 PM

Dirty scumbag, hope he rots

Z 18-12-2013 07:43 PM

More than most murderers get, absolutely the right result, justice has been served. I hope that after some time, his former band mates are able to regroup and continue without him, without facing any backlash; and that the children he victimised are just too young to know what happened to them and are placed with loving families who will bring them up properly. This man has ruined so many lives with his horrible actions and I hope this sentence will allow the lives he affected to move on.

Shaun 18-12-2013 07:45 PM

I dunno, the claims that ex-partners of his went to the police as far back as 2008 (there was one woman on the BBC earlier)? And the band knew nothing? I smell BS.

I doubt they knew he was a paedophile. Questionable liaisons with impressionable fans I'm sure they were aware of but I don't know anything about my best friends' online habits, so why would they know about their band mate's?

Z 18-12-2013 07:50 PM

Lol at me acting like I'm a yardstick for all people in the world. You know what I mean though, like you know what your friends get up to when you're around them in person but not when they're in the privacy of their own home.

Shaun 18-12-2013 07:56 PM

True, but I dunno, going to the police and making complaints would've been pretty... out there (as in public, not trippy), I'd have thought.

Marc 18-12-2013 07:57 PM

Good riddance

Black Dagger 18-12-2013 08:17 PM

Leave Rod out!! Baby Jane is a classic.

Well it would surely be between the police, the person making the claims and the person accused - but if the police weren't taking the claimant seriously, as has been suggested, then Ian Watkins wouldn't have been visited by them so the band wouldn't have known anything about it. He'd have hardly been telling them he was being investigated by the police for allegations about abusing children casually at band practise. I just don't believe they would have known anything more than most of us. They probably knew he slept with fans. I doubt they knew how far it went.

So, the sentencing file has been released.
I have to warn you, I had to stop reading as I found it way too disturbing.
Some of you; with a stronger stomach than I, may be interested.

After the little I managed to read,
I hope he rots.

Drew. 19-12-2013 12:39 AM

Am up to page 4 and I honestly feel physically sick

How the **** can anyone do that

Marsh. 19-12-2013 12:53 AM

I suppose it'll be years from now when some of these children are older that we'll here of some more of the victims. Absolutely horrifying.

smudgie 19-12-2013 12:58 AM

I'm truly disgusted. This is one of the worst parts

You spoke of whoring her out to fat old men who would pay thousands. You went on “she needs to know mummy and daddy don’t love her she is just there to make us cum”. You spoke of torturing her for fun.

Surprised but pleased that this sentence is so long though.

On a separate note however I am a little confused and do have a slight issue with the inclusion of the incidents of him taking some 16 year old girls virginities? What is the crime here...I'm assuming it's abuse of power, right? Because as strange as the description may sound that isn't actually illegal, and having seen this part of the evidence quoted in articles a couple of weeks ago I was getting somewhat irritated at the insinuation that it's on the same level as all the other stuff that involved infants when it definitely isn't. Reminds me a bit of the Jeremy Forrest case where he was labelled a 'paedophile' when it really wasn't fitting for his case

Marsh. 19-12-2013 01:15 AM

Absolutely horrible reading.

They should have gotten life. I don't care if one of the mum's was devastated and remorseful, there's just no excuse.

Were those crimes he was sentenced for? I assumed those incidents were just used as evidence for his character, like you say, his love of power.
