Nah, I really couldn't be asked. :nono:

Of course that hasn't stopped people bringing Jim into the conversation on threads that weren't about him.

She'd been drinking and I think she thought that everyone has the potential to be "bi", so she had a shot. She's a university lecturer in social work. Do I want to ruin her career because of that? Nope.

did you feel violated? The situation you describe, it does;'t sound like you feel violated or intimidated in anyway. It sounds like you never felt afraid or scared.

I think that's a difference, because there is such a power imbalance between men and women.

They were having fun and making noise singing the Lionel song in the garden when Jim first got up. The house is a small space really.

I know, but Dappy dropped Jim right in it with the others, Jim never asked for quiet in the bedroom.

He seems to pop up everywhere doesn't he? You can't get away from the eejit!

I didn't feel any more or less violated than I would have done if she'd been a man. I agree that the power balance might make the difference: the incidents when I was underage were the worst. Let's not talk about it more - it's too heavy an issue. I just wanted to make the point that it's not fair to condemn someone for a serious issue when their guilt is far from certain, or even likely - particularly when it is something as damaging as child molestation. I will never press charges against the person who did it to me. I never want to see his face or hear his voice again, and I think I have the right to make that choice. (I did report the consultant, btw, but got nowhere.)

i thought the whole bedroom **** was funny. yea i wouldnt like it either if i was trying to sleep but im not in that house so i could give a rats ass. like Jack i would rather see these people get bothered then have a tea party. when Luisa screamed Jim wasnt even sleeping so boo hoo for Jim. he could of still got in bed instead of laying by the door like a broke dick dog. they probably piped down several minutes later anyways.

duclos 19-01-2014 06:22 AM

Jim is a boring old slag
Luisa is hilarious!

I am more with you, this thread is about Jim but in the main him moaning at not being able to get sleep, the main instigator of the noise was Luisa, Dappy had already cooled his noise down by then.
So she is a very valid target on this thread in my opinion since if she wasn't making the ridiculous noise all the time, Jim would not have been complaining.

Also, earlier in this thread someone said, why doesn't Jim have a lie in if he is tired, they cannot lie in, BB gets them up every morning at whatever time BB dictates.
They don't have an option to lie in.

No he hadn't. Right before he left the bedroom to see how Jim was doing he was dry humping Luisa and making loud sex noises.

He even apologised for screaming.

He was obviously knackered and ashen-faced and he's maybe not at his best late at night. Fair dos.

With the best of intentions, Dappy took it upon himself to go and say to people that Jim wanted to go to bed. What's the problem with that? Wee small hours.. Jim's tired .. they all share a room ... But Linda immediately launches into her favourite mode of being vile about Jim in a loud voice so he'd hear, and the cut meant that we didn't hear what else was said, but no doubt he'd have heard more, because Luisa has a voice like a foghorn and is never slow to voice her opinions. How is any of that Jim's fault? Yeah, he was really grumpy thereafter, but so what - I don't blame him: I cannot stand the nasty atmosphere that Linda creates with her bitching, and Luisa is Linda's staunchest ally and sidekick now, so he wouldn't necessarily have seen the humour in her calling him "The Grim Reaper".

I'm not a Jim fan: I've never seen his show, and I'd probably hate it if I did, but he is getting a raw deal from some of the people in that house, and I don't think it's deserved.

Excellent post.. You are most wise :)

..tbh..(because I do try to look at things objectively ..)..although I do think that people know before going into BB that they probably won't get much sleep and should be prepared for that because I don't think it's fair to expect those who don't want to sleep to curb their experience either...I do also think that older people who might need more sleep are on to a lose/lose really because if like Jim, they go off somewhere quiet or get grumpy or whatever then people are going to say that it's their own fault for going in but then if they join all the late night stuff like Denise Welch did, then people say ughhhh, they're embarrassing the way they think that they're 'down with the kids..'/why don't they act their age....I think that whatever they do, the media likes to paint a quite negative ageist slant to it...

lostalex 19-01-2014 09:40 AM

Old people are like children. they get sleep when we tell them to go to sleep. I think old people are too uppity these days. they should be more submissive.

Old people have become much more disruptive and unruly, and something needs to be done to discipline them.

I blame Cameron and the conservative government.

In fairness to Jim he didn't complain, he removed himself from the garden and the bedroom, Dappy did the complaining for him :joker: and I agree with your point about Denise, the outrage over her getting down with the kids and now the outrage over Jim not is just too much, (though from her BOTs appearance a few nights back I think she is embarrassed about it now and wishes it would go away).

Kizzy 19-01-2014 09:45 AM

When jim vindictively banged the cups and for some reason sprayed deodorant  it was before the alarms, not tired then was he?

CaudleHalbard 19-01-2014 09:45 AM

People a lot older than Jim are in government and make laws which affect our lives!

It comes down, I think, to what Lionel said: Jim likes to be the boss but nobody in the house treats him as one. So he's grumpy.

That was brilliant, a bit of tit for tat, I don't think there are any alarms this year not heard one yet or nothing mentioned on the twitter feed, BB going easy on them :nono:

...:joker:...yeah, it probably is his fault as well...

Kizzy 19-01-2014 09:50 AM

There have been many older housemates, jim and denise are two examples on either end of a scale.... there are many in between :conf:
Neither can be held up as the 'norm'.

..yeah, I did say if the reaction was to either go off to somewhere quiet or be grumpy..(read my posts/joking.....)..but yeah, I do think that whatever the reaction/if they're down with the kids like Denise, the media will paint it as negatively and then that obviously gives us loads to 'discuss'...LOL...

Oh sorry Ammi missed that bit, loads to discuss this year for sure!

Ammi 19-01-2014 09:52 AM

..I don't think any housemates whether celebrities or civilian are often the 'norm' in that they're specifically chosen because of more extremes in their personalities and the hope of an 'interesting' house...we don't comparatively have that many 'norms'...

Well that is what he should do everytime it happens, it is what I would do if someone stopped me getting my sleep.
I did it when I was at Uni, I was alseep, my housemates came in at 3 am and woke me up with noise and loud voices.

So I got up at 6.30 am and started clashing things about and played music they didn't like, rather loudly.
They got the message.

I would like to see Jim do more of that actually in the house although what he did in youe post was unlikely to be making that much noise, I would have been opening and shutting drawers and banging doors likely.

Tit for tat?... How selfish!
He gets kept awake by luisa and dappy so in the morning he wakes up suprisingly early for someone who had such a bad night and attempts to disturb EVERYONE.... Why did he do that, what had liz, sam or ollie done to upset him?
