I think it's a great idea, if it was a reasonable price. Some members are under 18 and can't really use subscription services if it was through a direct debit though.

However, I like the idea. If it helps the site, then it's a good thing.

Samm 03-05-2014 10:06 PM

I still don't like the idea of special stuff tbh

Can you stop telling people what to do with their money, It's their decision!

You can get debit cards at the age of 12

I thought you had to be 18 to have direct debits and standing orders. :conf2:

So Josy, let's say I slip you a fiver every month. What would I get for my generosity?

I don't know Kazanne you would have to ask them?

andybigbro 03-05-2014 10:11 PM

Would it be a one time donation or a monthly subscription?

Whats to hang around for, you are not going to get 100 per cent agreement no matter how long you discuss it.

Cherie I never made this thread just in case that had escaped your notice...I am replying with my opinions to a suggestions thread just like everyone else is, because I agree with something doesn't mean I am going to log into the admin panel and add a donation button right now.

We may decide to incorporate something like this into the forum and we may not.

jackc1806 03-05-2014 10:16 PM

Maybe a donation sort of thing?

My opinion is that it would create a divide between the 'elite' members and newer members or those who choose not to subscribe

Glenn. 03-05-2014 10:16 PM

I think it's a great idea. It will certainly help towards server costs and stuff.

Samm 03-05-2014 10:17 PM

It's a great idea but don't like the idea of elite members who ever donates should at least get a award tbh

mod, admin, member, all rolled into one!

Vanessa 03-05-2014 10:18 PM

I think the option of a donation is a good idea.
