Things like the story of Amelia Earhart always creep me out. Just for someone to vanish without a trace like that, and knowing that nobody will ever know the truth. :worry:

Dean Corll, later known as the Candy Man, was a serial killer who abducted, raped, tortured and killed 28 young boys between 1970 and 1973. However, in 2012, 40 years after these gruesome crimes, a mysterious photo of a terrified handcuffed boy was found in one of Corll´s accomplice´s possession. As scary as the photo itself was, things got even more agonizing when it was found out that the boy in the photo was not any of the original 28 kids…

In 1991, several members of the Ghost Research Society investigated the Bachelor´s Grove cemetery outside Chicago that is generally considered one of the most haunted places in the US with over a hundred of reports of various supernatural phenomena. One of the members took a picture of the cemetery that was empty at that time but when they looked at the photo, they saw an image a white ghostly figure sitting on a tombstone...

God, just spent the last half hour reading up on all of this/the murders.. I feel sick.

...yeah I know, Jake..:sad:..and two of his victims were brothers but not taken and killed at the same time..their deaths were around one year apart...can you imagine their families to have lost one son and then another a year later, in the same brutal way.../horrific...

I've never read anything as sad as all of this.. Again, police not doing enough as well, similar to the Jeffrey Dahmer case

It's basically because these young boys were from rough areas where running away was common and frankly the police didn't really care where they were so long as they were off the streets.

Yeah I know, doesn't excuse their incompetence though

Just read a mother to one of the boys killed by him came SO close to catching him but the police just didn't care about her findings. She even got his reg plate and everything. She refused to accept that her son run away.

Jeffrey Dahmer's stuff was equally as horrific and mind blowing that the police did nothing.. I read that he injected acid into a victims skull/brain. He managed to escape but he had no sense of where he was/wasn't able to communicate/had no idea of what was going on, was pretty much in a dazed state. Some women spotted him, called the police and stopped Jeffrey taking him until the police arrived. Jeffrey lied and told the police that he was his boyfriend and that they'd had a drunken arguement, much to the protest of the women. The police gave the guy back to Jeffrey to take inside and told the women to "mind their own business". Jeffrey later killed him.

Yeah that was one of the parts that had me gasping in shock just reading it, wasn't the guy 14 and bleeding heavily and and two women found him just outside Jeffrey's house and the police believed the guy was 19 and just drunk...it's horrific and you have to lay some blame on the police's behalf imo

Oh wow the cop who handed the boy over to Dahmer was initially fired but he appealed and was reinstated :/

Regina Kay Walters

This photo was taken by serial killer, Robert Ben Rhoades right before he killed the 14-year-old Walters. Rhoades was famous for touring the country in an 18-wheeler truck that was fully equipped with a torture chamber. This photo was taken in an abandoned barn in Illinois where Rhoades murdered Walters. Before killing her, Rhoades cut off her hair and forced her to wear the black dress and heels you see her wearing in the picture
