I do respect the mods and what they do, but I also think harsher sentences need to be given out. There are people who constantly cause drama on the forum. Who spend hours offsite, bitching, causing arguments and even bullying... It's wrong and it's not fair, I've had several people message me telling me how down they feel because of it. There's a serious group mentality on here and most of the forum wouldn't miss them if they were banned outright.

lostalex 25-10-2015 10:05 AM

i definitely think if you guys made me, well not a mod, but maybe some sort of consultant, i could help you improve the system.

I don't think there's anyone currently that doesn't deserve to be here.

Ninastar 25-10-2015 10:07 AM

No, I like Alex. I don't mean him, lol.

I take my infractions as they come, and i'm just venting that some of them i don't agree with. but you can't say i'm going ballistic, and you can't say i don't learn from my mistakes. I truly am dumbfounded by some of my infractions though, and i think the system could be better. that's all.

I'm willing to accept that though, if i wasn't i wouldn't be coming back, I would have followed jesus right out the door.

This is a thread about infractions, so of course i'm bringing up my frustrations with that.
That doesn't mean that i don't appreciate all the hard work the mods do to keep the forum running though. If someone wants to make a thread about all the great things mods do, i'd be posting in there praising you. There's no doubt that the mods have a schedule and they are doing their best. but nobody's best is ever perfect.

..and if we had the appeals section back Alex, then your frustrations would be brought up there, which was what was happening I presume only with multiple member's frustrations..so not really a great idea...and tbh Alex, I personally wouldn't want that because I'd rather the mods who are online at any give time are actually moderating the forum and their time not being taken up with 'infraction frustrations' etc...

This topic might as well get closed anyway because we're not even discussing the original point of this thread, which was whether people learn from their infractions.

My original comment/question was...

Do infractions make you alter your posts?

Some have answered it but many have taken the thread in several different directions. I don't mind that cos at least we are all talking and that can only be a good thing.:wavey:

I love baking. especially holiday themed cookies and cakes. i believe all baked goods should have a fun theme, not just boring circles.

...if thread was replaced with 'infraction/ban', that probably tells you why the appeals section wasn't something that worked at all Ashley and a good call to not have it anymore...because it really was just engaging moderator's attention on the few, rather than them moderating the forum for everyone ...

..ok you have my full vote for human rights ambassador but if ever I become too huge to log on with all of the cookies, we might have to petition to have you removed.....

Well personally no, I wouldn't dumb my reactions down and 99.9% of the time I 100% stand behind my posts, but like everyone I'm not perfect... practically, but not quite.
