It's hard to believe only a few years back she was playing a spoilt brat in The Dumping Ground

Denver 19-06-2019 12:17 AM

Spoiler:

apparently all of the Missy scenes from the trailer were in episode 1 :skull:

Tea! They weren’t even in this episode once and that’s criminal

This will have been on purpose to keep suspense until next week

Firewire 19-06-2019 09:23 AM

I hope nothing happens to them but it would then have been a wasted stunt...

Also, the scene with Mandy and Kaneez was excellent but you can tell it was probably originally supposed to have been Emma talking sense into her until she was no longer available :joker:

Firewire 19-06-2019 09:23 AM

AND, can I just say, Rob James-Collier is GORGEOUS.

Firewire 20-06-2019 02:13 PM

Spoiler:

Missy is no longer in the cast list from episode 3

Spoiler:

I guess this is the last series then if they are killing Missy off as Amy's profile is getting bigger so I cant see her staying as Nas and the show isnt strong enough to have 2 new leads

Spoiler:

Isn’t this their last year of school anyway? So regardless they would’ve had to go?

Firewire 20-06-2019 02:32 PM

TBH if it is the last series it might be the best thing for the show.

Three series is a nice length, I'd rather it ended while it's still good than end badly.

Denver 20-06-2019 02:38 PM

The guy who plays Corey said series 4 depends on ratings

Firewire 20-06-2019 02:45 PM

I think the show has been at a loss on Channel 4.

Spoiler:

What was? The accident at the end? How was it hinted?

I remember seeing the yellow car SPEED past before Nas went to Missy but I didn't think it'd hit them - I just thought it'd be a recurring gag and we'd see some yellow car speeding in the background every episode (like the hamster ball in Malcolm in the Middle)

Unless you mean Missy possibly dying? I dunno if I'm reading too much into something that's not there or if I'm on about something completely different to you but now that I think about it, the more it seems like "goodbye" to Missy :(

series finale prediction:

Spoiler:

Nasreen move into her dorm at Oxford. Missy, now dead, monlogues about Nasreen while we see Nasreen at Oxford

Mandy gives birth and calls her child Missy (or the Master if it's a boy!)

Aaron comes back to make things work with Missy but finds out she's dead. Instead he goes with Pete on the fair to carry on her dream. Pete and Aaron marry

Emma Keane becomes a pornstar - this scene may be deleted with the looming porn restrictions

Missy's mum, recovering from a breakdown following Missy's death, moves in with Hayley permanently and steps up

The lesbian biology teacher returns and hooks up with Sam. The biology teacher gets arrested for child abuse and Sam gets arrested for racism. They get transferred to Litchfield minimum (?) security and establish the new OITNB spin-off up the road from max

Cory realises he's bisexual and dates Naveed

There's an epilogue. Kaneez is in a wheelchair, widowed, and is attending Cory and Naveed's wedding. Nasreen is a bridesmaid with a ring on her finger but we don't know who her wife is. Jordan is Best Man and it's a very Catholic wedding.

At the reception we see Nas drinking. Chloe approaches her. "Hey mum-in-law, you haven't seen my mum have ya?" she says. Turns out Emma/Nas' wife is at Sami's grave crying back at the church. Nas visits her and throws her ring at Emma saying "I CAN'T COMPETE WITH A DEAD GUY!!!". Cory and Naveed's marriage is ****ing ennulled because they didn't save themselves til marriage.

The final scene is Nasreen in prison for breaking the Hippocratic Oath or some ****

I thought the second series was great, the bigger episode order made it so much better because the first was kinda over just as I got hooked

This series is serving mess with the cast cull though

Headie 20-06-2019 07:59 PM

I was so underwhelmed by that premiere, it felt like a different show :skull:

That 'Tomorrow' scene was cringey af too
