A guy 4 years (I think?) above me was locked in a skip filled with wood etc behind a Halfords not far from our school as a prank and the guy who locked him in threw a match in as a "laugh", the lid locked so he died because they couldn't unlock it in time.
A couple of years later, the brother (who was in my year) of the guy who threw the match in jumped in front of a train behind the school. They held a memorial assembly for him. |

Wow, I had 2 months of study leave for my final GCSE's.
Nowadays the poor sods remain in school until the very end. |

The bloody teachers text all our mams and sent letters home and urged us to walk home in groups, all because two lads decided to stage a false kidnapping for a laugh. |

They leave after the exams finish now. But we finished about 3-4 weeks before the exams started for study leave, and then only returned to school for each exam. |
Ours was boring.
Just a girl getting fingered behind Matalan and everybody chased after her the next day because the boy bragged about it while I was just trying to eat my man sandwiches in peace. |
Elementary School - No known scandals that I remember.
My first High school, a regular public school - there was a mysterious package found inside the school and someone had called the school saying that there was a bomb inside. The school was criticized for not going to lockdown, neglecting students' safety. That same year, the physics teacher/track coach was dating a Student. However, the school permitted it since she was 18. They've been married for years now and still are married. However, the Athletic Director was fired the next year for having sex with a minor, after I had transferred. In 2010, the year after I transferred, the music/drama teacher went mental and held the students hostage and said "you are my children!" or something along those lines. My boarding school - The main "scandal" was then I posted about the horrific conditions of the school online. Up to three bloggers and journalists contacted me for news interviews. Many students contacted me over Facebook, seeking more information and many of them decided not to go to the school. The school suspected I was doing this, but I reminded them that it's still protected under free press. I even discussed some of the school gang violence. Also, a counselor tried to deny me rights to miss school to visit my grandmother who was in the hospital, where she eventually died. He tried to say bereavement was not excusable for missing school. He even tried to contact the hospital to ask for confirmation and reason for being in the hospital, which is illegal. A security officer there also made a distasteful joke about a student who had died the year before. Also, while waiting for a bus, as I was attending a Pre-College class, a gunman came by and waved a gun, but did not fire it. The other students attempted to prevent me from entering inside. I mentioned that in the police report and got bitched at for that. Also, one of the administrators tried to prevent my transgender roommate from wearing a dress to an assembly. She also got a lot of harassment from staff who also refused to call her the name she wished to be called. It's getting late, I'll rant about my University tomorrow. |
2 years ago, my english teacher (big scary man with giant thumbs and a huge tongue that could barely fit in his mouth) called a kid in my class a "worthless gimp" and threatened to "smash him through the fookin wall"
he's still very temperamental to this day and threatens students a lot :skull: |

Reminds me of when me and two other girls got random texts in Y11 from unknown numbers along the lines of ‘i know your secret bitches.’ (we literally had no scandalous secrets but fretted) we never found out who it was. It was probably just one of the fellow girls in hindsight :p |

ah was in year 9 at t'time and gossip girl was in year 10 so it was mainly aimed at their year but boy was it a scream! gals were shouting at each other left right and centre it was quite the pickle |
The D&T teacher used to take photos of the students (he said it was for the register). He later got arrested for photoshopping his self-shot teenaged heads on naked adult bodies.
Even writing that sentence gave me the creeps. He was such a weird guy. |
My high school was back in the day split into two schools, a boys and a girls. Girls up the top (which is now the actual school) and the boys down the bottom, now demolished.
Anyway, both had a gym/hall with a stage in and apparently one year in the bottom school during a school play performance APPARENTLY a stage light fell and killed a student, hitting them on the head killing them instantly mid-performance in front of a packed hall of parents etc. The bottom school was soon just used by music and drama in two classrooms then later demolished for houses. :skull: |
