Why doesn’t she have a seat near the judges to recreate this

It’s like they want this show to fail!

RileyH 06-01-2019 06:56 PM

She doesn't deserve one

Is it just me that finds it hard to take James Jordan as a contestant on a dancing/skating show seriously? People moaned about Faye and Ashley on SCD this year being ringers, James is basically Manchester United going up against Accrington Stanley, and yet we're suppose to be in shock that he is good according to the show.:joker:

The worst part is that people are like 'ohhhh but he's never skated before so it's fine?!!?!' when they wouldn't listen about Faye and Ashley not doing ballroom before

Yes he knows how to hold his body and his arms etc, but he still had to learn to skate just like the rest of them, so just taking his skating speed and confidence over the ice compared to the rest of them there is no comparison, they all had the same amount of time to learn to skate, so even if their body positions etc are not right their skating should be on par?

You cant compare that to Ashley and Faye as they did not learn a new skill, just honed one they had already

Vanessa 11-01-2019 09:09 AM

James is brilliant, and I've also liked Jane and Sarah. These three will go far. I think I prefer Jane though.

Right but James has also been a trained dancer for 27 years (key word trained) which not only means that he has some of the technincal dancing aspect nailed down but he also has the mindset and routine of a dancer so he will find it much easier and it'll come much more naturally to put in many more hours of training than the others because he's used to it. And that's not something you can get used to in a couple of months, that's his experience.

And that's why their skating isn't on par, people don't pick things up at similar speeds and him having the advantages mentioned makes him much more likely to succeed.

I already said he had the dancing technique nailed down, he still has to master the ability to skate same as the rest of them, its clear to me he applied himself to learning to skate a bit more than some

Vanessa 11-01-2019 12:26 PM

I think James has definitely an advantage. It's like ray quinn all over again

Except she scored an average 20.5 not a 30.5 or whatever it was.

Lewismacfarlane 11-01-2019 01:59 PM

Brian will be good this week I think

Mm, so far she hasn't been as good as James. But I like her and Jane.

Vanessa 11-01-2019 03:49 PM

I'm hoping Richard will be good. I want him in my top three!

zrc 12-01-2019 04:53 PM

James will suffer from peaking too soon.
