A tweet insulting an infant member of the Royal family. That kind of thing often makes the news.

Yes he did not like the Young BBC Executive
telling him on the phone
so he hung up,

But the BBC had to Sack him fast.
That image is now all over shows in USA.
Giving the BBC USA a bad name.

whether its 'funny' or not, in this day and age its so inappropriate.. little britain was funny back in the day but if they did some of the stuff nowadays that they did back then it'd be so uncomfortable to watch

A) It's about a newborn baby

B) It's the first legitimate non-caucasian Royal and that's sort of big news

C) He's a figure in the public eye, albeit a very minor one, and he works for the BBC.

And this is what we call progression is it? Everyone being miserable and trying to ruin each others lives.

The alternative to words is violence, and that's what's coming, all in the name of progression.

Liam- 09-05-2019 05:54 PM

I’ll take progression over living in an age where it’s deemed acceptable to be openly racist

But the fact is, you live in one of the most tolerant, least racist countries on Earth.

My guess is that you will only accept racism from White people.

Incorrect, I don’t accept racism from anyone, I personally think there is no place in modern society for racists or bigots, of any colour or background

Calling somebody close minded for their opinions is an insult, do you think you should fired from your job for that?

for the average person, being fired would probably be a bit much, but for someone in the public eye, nobody is gonna wanna be associated with you after making prejudiced remarks/jokes ...look what happened to Rosanne

Obviously at times like these, people will put up tweets of other people to show the hypocrisy. I've seen a racist tweet today by Romesh Ranganathan. I can guarantee you that you will see him on the BBC again.

Post the tweet.

I''ve said it before and I'll say it again.

Freedom of speech is not a shield to protect you from criticism or from consequences of your actions. Danny Baker losing his job because he put out a racist tweet is not infringing on his freedom of speech, He can tweet racist jokes all he wants but that doesn't mean he can't be criticised or that his employers can't take exception to his actions and disassociate with him. He's still free to be racist as much as he wants to but everyone else is free to react to it.

I'm so tired of the whole 'poor little racist' routine, they bring it on themselves by considering people lesser if they have a different colour skin to them. If you're going to be openly racist, you've got to be prepared for the consequences and as someone who works in the public eye, this arsehole should have known better.

He didn't take any actions, he spoke his mind.

Stop splitting hairs, you know excatly what Dezzy was saying. He knew exactly what he was doing in the hope of a few cheap laughs from some people still stuck with racist mind sets. It’s grotesque.
