Dominic Raab and Andrea Ledesom have declared they will stand
|
Leadsom the quitter.
She stood last time and dropped out amid controversy. She's just quit her cabinet post too. Another waste of political space and another heartless hardliner. Raab, I have no real feelings on either way. However if I was Conservative, I wouldn't want either of those two as leader and PM. |
Steve Baker
If it's to be another female, then Priti Patel What odds is Steve Baker? Get a bet on |

40/1 Steve Baker. Well worth a quid or 2. He'd be the Brexiters choice. And if they want to save their party and win back the Brexiters, then he's the best bet.

Yes this time round he does not have the backers that Boris , has. |
Back in 2016
Chris Grayling was the manager of getting May in that's why he was kept in cabinet jobs https://www.telegraph.co.uk/content/...pg?imwidth=450 He will be a back bencher , soon. |
Gove I guess at least stayed in Cabinet.
He did sort of scupper Johnson's hopes last time. Perhaps he can again. The only ones, if I was a Conservative and had a vote, I would not want as leader. Are,. Johnson, Andrea Loathsome and the awful McVey woman. The ones I think from looking in on this contest, who I think could have the best chance of success, both on brexit and for the Conservatives generally. Would be. Rory Stewart. Matt Hancock. Then just in my 3rd, Jeremy Hunt. It will be interesting to read those who strongly support the Conservative party, as to really which candidate, they would like and why. Once you have a leader, you don't want, it can be a chore getting them to go. Look at the farcical procrastinated drive to get May out. Also the same currently in the Labour party too. |
There is simply no point in the tories electing yet another remain leader. They tried that, and it failed. Parliament and or the electorate have to choose between a no deal brexit and revoking it. A deal is just not going to happen
