Boris in power will be interesting given all his family are remainers

bots 13-06-2019 04:38 PM

Boris will be similar to Trump, but all he needs to do is unite the tory party and its job done. If anyone can do that he can. Let's face it he can't do any worse than May.

I think the Tories want this 'cock' to commit political suicide and then they'll get who they really wanted as PM for next election.

Prob won't take too long knowing Boris.

The Media are saying
Matt Hancock MP may drop out as he only has 20 MP's backing him.

Meanwhile Rory Stewart MP only has 19 MP 's backing him
and he wants Boris to go onto the
Sunday Ch4HD Live Conservatives Debate

bots 14-06-2019 06:54 AM

Boris doesnt need to debate anything at this point. He has enough MP's in his pocket to get to the final vote. Rory on the other hand has everything to gain and nothing to lose from a TV debate as no-one knows who he is and he is last in the race

Yeah, tbh most of his ideas would be either seen positively or neutrally by most people, a public debate would only be good for him.

Actually, thinking about how Johnson made 2 valid strong arguments, one for remaining in the EU and one for leaving.

He is so unpredictable, he won't want the USA dictating to him.
I wouldn't put it past him actually doing another turncoat action.

Arguing leaving may not be the best thing.
If anyone could possibly get away with that.
He could.
That would unite most of Parliament and likely pulk in votes from across the UK.

It would pacify Scotland and N Irish voters.
Even if not reversing leaving totally, he actually could just possibly get away with weakening the leaving process.
Which could gain him more appeasing action by the EU too.

I don't want him as leader.
I've said Theresa May will go down as likely the worst ever PM of the UK.

If Johnson sticks to his at this time, hard stance and his buffoonery.
Then he may well be the last PM of the UK as it is.
Hastening the breaking up of it.

Does he want that, if not, what will he do to ensure it cannot be a possibility.

Running London however is near a world away from running a supposed United Kingdom of 4 individual Nations.

Me, I wouldn't trust Johnson on anything really and anything, even reversal of things he claims as sacrosanct, comes easy to him.

People have had enough of standard politicians, they have shown they can't be trusted. Boris may not be any different, but no-one can accuse him of being a standard politician. He can't do any worse than May, and he could easily unite the Tory party behind him so that what labour do is of no consequence. None of the other hopefuls are capable of uniting the party, and if he succeeds he will capture all the brexit party voters and win the next election with a landslide ..... That's politics

Matthew Hancock MP
has withdrawn from the race.

Vicky. 14-06-2019 10:04 AM

Boris definitely has this. Mind, I still think anyone seriously wanting the reigns right now is a bit of an idiot as..they are smply there to scapegoat.

Underscore 14-06-2019 10:32 AM

Sad to see Matt Hancock withdraw. He was my favourite!

Denver 14-06-2019 10:35 AM

It shows how weak he is, he didnt have a genuine reason to quit but makes him look very weak quitting for lack of votes rather then trying to get more

He only got 20 MP's
and no increases

So he had to withdraw

joeysteele 14-06-2019 11:32 AM

It's a pity he has withdrawn.
I think he should have continued at least to the next round.

Would be good to see most of his supporters now back Rory.

I read someone the other day but forgot where that Corbyn would put us in a Venzuela type state

The thought of Corbyn getting the keys to number 10 is very scary

But the thought of us putting the country in the hands of a tango'd maniac's greasy hands are fine?

Corbyn is useless but people who fear him becoming the prime minister but not us becoming Trump's ***** is silly.
