.....I have to say, Jet...I’m not much of a biography reader...but I guess that if I was to read one, it would be one that I felt had some substance...where the author knew or had known in some depth, those whose lives they were giving pages of ‘insight’ on in apparently giving us their ‘real story’...even then, all a biography would be is personal perspective../...little more than an extended opinion piece...with the author of the book referred to and was apparently reviewed widely as ‘fair and balanced’....by her own admission, she prefers to not know or have any knowledge of the people she’s writing about...And yet it’s quite obvious from her interviews and from her articles that she has very formed and fixed opinions about the people she writes about and has no knowledge of, so it could never be fair or balanced...I guess for me a biography by definition would be ...’a detailed account of...etc...’...and again, by her own words, she has no detailed accounts of...very few of us do when it comes to marriages, even of very public people...’integrity’ seems to be a huge thing with Lady Colin...she doesn’t feel that Harry and Meghan are showing integrity by looking to earn their living in the USA...why can’t they just suck it up and have integrity by living off Royal money and being Royal and doing what Royal people do...she doesn’t see the irony of her words and how she earns a living and how that marries up to ‘integrity’ that she seems to hold so highly...
...but yeah, I’m a reader too and I like to form opinions ...but the foundation of opinion is substance and books such as this have none at all, so for me...(...as much as I can be amused by Lady Colin...)...this book would define torture..in my opinion of course... |
what usually happens when I biography is released is that it sparks debate and people in the know come forward to either confirm or deny the content. The bio itself doesnt need to be accurate if it brings out the correct version of events.
We all know that things could have been done better from Harry and Meghan's perspective. For people that are supposed to be media savvy they have done a piss poor job and have totally misread how the British public would react. There is no-one to blame for that but them. Have the media sensationalised it, yes of course they have, but who honestly expected it to be different. As for it being racist, well the Royal family have made gaff after gaff for generations and been subject to exactly the same level of press scrutiny so it's pretty much normal. Has it brought out unacceptable comments about Meghan? Yes it has, no excuse for that at all, but that doesn't make Meghan an angel either. |
...there are no ‘angels’, bots...the ‘angels’ and the ‘villains or demons’ are what the media create and they often seem to have to create both so they can put them against each other as has been done with Kate and Meghan..it’s what makes the money, honey in stories ...and as we know from pantomime land...the villain is the one the audience all love to hate and Boooooo and often have the greater interest in...Meghan being portrayed as an ‘angel’ in their stories, just wouldn’t have the same income/interest...

I totally agree. The last lines very strong points, I've not much more to add to what I said before. I just cannot get what it is, she's done that's so wrong and warrants such continuous and always negative personal attack towards her. The nonsense of Harry not being happy. Even worse. Of course he's happy with her. That's obvious to see for me anyway. He's however likely not happy and even furious, that there's elements of media and people who are being so acidic and at times unfairly critical of HIS chosen wife. |

I have respect for the people who are actually living a life without the basic’s that we all take for granted. I don’t have respect for two morons living in a mansion wanting for nothing making empty statements while complaining how hard it’s been for them. |
From the start they should of got married in a registry office instead making the tax payers pay for their lavish wedding so Meghan could invite a list celebrity’s to it that she hadn’t even met.
And in preparation for it the homeless where moved off the streets of Windsor so they would not be seen on tv. |

I do love it when someone claims that someone they do not know is not struggling. Do you know these people personally? Can you attest to their troubles or are you simply being gullible in believing gossip to be fact? You don't know their lives, you don't know anyone's struggles so stop acting like you do. |

Its not from lack of food/water medical supplies no were to live not having any money to pay the bills, in fear for their lives. You ain’t got a clue of real life struggles. All you can keep doing is defending people you don’t know while taking the high ground with the same lines. |
Mental health struggles affect everyone.....just because a person has money doesn't mean they are not plagued by depression, anxiety etc. Look how many rich and famous take their own lives....money does not equal happiness and so yes, they live a very comfortable life in terms of material things but the richest person in the world can also be the saddest. Some people with nothing are happy with their lot too and wouldn't want the trapping of fame and fortune.

The duchess has spoken.
|
I'll never forgive this insufferable pair for what they've put the Queen through, she's nearly 100 years old and they (particularly the evil Megan) have put her through so much stress I'm surprised she's still here.
|
once you get to a certain age, you couldn't care less about petty dramas which in the scope of things, this is, so the queen won't have been affected by these events at all

What I'm trying to say is, when you have mental health issues, whether you have access to professionals or not, your problems are huge. Robin Williams had multiple millions, he still took his own life and there are many many more examples of this. When you have issues in your life, they are huge to YOU. To others you may seem self absorbed and up your own arse but to you its all consuming. |
