We lit the first candle on the Hanukkah menorah this evening. We included in our blessing thanks that we were lucky enough to be together, Alex and I, our children as well as my Parents and my Grandmother. We are also thankful for coming through this year unscathed while so many did not; and also for the armies of people who've gone above and beyond to keep us safe. Bless them all.

From my family to yours, have a peaceful and happy time during the eight nights of Hanukkah, a very Merry Christmas and we wish you all that you would wish for yourselves in 2021.

I know I've posted this before... but every year it makes me laugh.
Happy Holidays, TiBB. x

Hi tibblets.:wavey:

2 weeks to go eh! Where on earth did the time go?

For me I'm not celebrating xmas this year as I dont hink it's a wise move for me to go up to scotland to visit my family and even though I have had 2 invites for xmas day with friends down here im happy enough to just netflix and chill with myself on the big day. I have booked 2 weeks off in march to go visiting.

I sincerely hope each and every one of you has a great day on xmas day.

Ive spent over 10 yeara on tibb and have met some absolute crackers through it, I have my firm favs on here but I never ever wish bad will on any tibb member.

So I shall leave you with a few 2020 cracker jokes and bid you a good evening as I have some flowers to buy to lay them for someone special.

1 What is Dominic Cummings’s favourite Christmas song? Driving Home for Christmas.

2 Did you hear that production was down at Santa’s workshop? Many of his workers have had to elf isolate!

3 Why didn’t Mary and Joseph make it to Bethlehem? All Virgin flights were cancelled.

4 Why are Santa’s reindeer allowed to travel on Christmas Eve? They have herd immunity.

5 Why did the pirates have to go into lockdown? Because the “Arrrr!” rate had risen.

6 Why is it best to think of 2020 like a panto? Because, eventually, it’s behind you.

7 Why couldn’t Mary and Joseph join their work conference call? Because there was no Zoom at the inn.

8 Why can’t Boris Johnson make his Christmas cake until the last minute? He doesn’t know how many tiers it should have.

9 What do the Trumps do for Christmas dinner? They put on a super spread.

10 Which Christmas film was 30 years ahead of its time? Home Alone.

I cant spell hanukkah, but was In a right posh house the other day on clarence crescent in London..it had a blue plaque on it of a past Tennant who was a female author from years ago..a cheery young lass came knocking on the door to wish the elderly gentleman a happy hanuki..

There goes the tip, I thought.

I was right..

Happy hanukkah Livia and everyone else.

Kate! 13-12-2020 01:46 AM

Sunday December 13th. Just after 2.30am

So I'm writing this in the early hours of Sunday morning and as usual I can't sleep. Here I am with today's message.

Everyone has been so great sharing their thoughts and experiences so far. I've decided to let you all in on the very worst thing that's happened to me in 2020. My son...the light of my life...decided to cut me off without a word of explanation back in April. He has deleted his Facebook so I can't contact him through that. I think he must have changed his phone as well. He has moved out of the house he shared with his girlfriend. They split up. I don't know how or where he is. Its not good at all. The only way I can do anything for him at Christmas is by putting money in his bank which I also did for his birthday in July.

I've managed to live my life largely due to the fact that I'm on medication for anxiety and panic attacks anyway so I'm coasting along with a lot of support from my friends and my boyfriend.

More in a minute...

Anyway I've already posted a Christmas tune in my December 1st message so I'll post a song now that really says it all about how I'm feeling. It's a song that makes me cry anyway. Always has done. I find it very emotional.

Just finally want to say I love you all to bits. 12 days till Christmas and counting. Have a great time one and all. Xx

Luv Kate xx

Kate! 13-12-2020 02:19 AM

I'm back. Couldn't leave it without finishing with another Christmas tune. In the spirit of the thread.

Here it is....

AnnieK 13-12-2020 06:31 AM

Kate  Merry Christmas

Ammi 13-12-2020 06:44 AM

...Kate......you are doing and have done all that you can do...he’s obviously had a difficult/painful year too and has a path to follow, to find you again...believe that it will happen and that he’ll see the person who loves him, when he’s ready......
