You’d think people would have a little more compassion and perspective in the wake of what happened with Caroline Flack. I have no idea what it’ll take at this point. The sun and papers like it are still going because there’s still an audience for their vitriol, which is really depressing to think about.

Honestly, Megan could end up hurting herself and the media would still slate her for it.

It’s funny because nobody gave a toss when Trump was mercilessly mocked, the Star regularly has either Hancock, Bojo or Williamson as the butt of one of their front page headlines at least once a week for the past year, not heard one complaint on TIBB, I suppose that’s different?

Well speaking for myself.
I never take any real notice of paper publications.

I only ever see the front pages of papers on here when anyone posts them.

I neither read or buy the gutter trash they just about all are.
Wouldn't soil my hands picking up my pet Staffie's mess up with them even.

So I have nothing to do with the publications, so rarely comment on them because I've not a scrap of interest in the gutter trash publications.

However, since they've been posted on here, that front page on the rag shown, is disgraceful and pathetic too.
The real sad thing is, people spend hundreds of pounds a year on their trash.

...it is different, though...it’s not comparable at all...because they’re world/country leaders and politicians with great responsibilities and answerability and they always have to be answerable because they have such privilege of power, which neither Harry or Meghan have...they don’t have any answer- ability ...

...as someone who placed children in caged condition for instance, whilst they were separated form their parents...how would any any actions from leaders and and government ministers be equivalent in any way to a couple announcing a pregnancy or giving an interview or any actions that provoke such extreme negativity they have to endure...relentlessly endure..it just can’t be compared...

How does a gif of Melania snatching her hand away for instance help anything, it’s mocking his relationship

What has that to do with the job of being a world leader or caged children

How does putting a dunce hat on Gavin Williamson aide or advance anything, it’s not holding him to account, it’s mockery all part and parcel of the same thing, if we allow that on front pages and social media without comment where is the line drawn, there is no line

...you’re talking about forum stuff, Cherie...?...Trump’s relationship was of huge public interest I would say because he is a world leader and no comparison to Meghan at all and neither is a dunce cap gif or whatever applies to Gavin Williamson ...those aren’t instances of persistent negative media over a huge length of time ...so equivalent to media bullying effectively which caused an obvious mental pain and fragility...

Agree with this. Trump makes decision that directly affect the publics lives so will have to take the criticism, Harry and Meghan dont make any decision of such importance to the public. I really dont see the 'you reap what you sow attitude' Reap what and sow waht. What specifically have they done to receive so much hate.

I also dont see the 'She's an attention seeker' argument. I'd like someone who dislikes like her to say specifically why, Not say she's stuck up or an attention seeker but give a specific example of something that she did then explain why it was so out of order for them.

...yeah, I know the media can be quite negative about many celebrities for a specific reason relating to something that’s happening or happened in their life at one particular time..but for poor Meghan, it’s a consistent thing, a common place thing that they slant everything about her into a negative headline and article...even when there’s nothing to slant, they’ll find one...

I think, and it just a theory, that its because she married into privileged life and yet seems, to some observers, to want more.

I think there's an element of 'why isnt she satisfied' with Meghan.
