I'm also glad you posted what for me is THE Christmas song.. I Believe in Father Christmas. You were the one who introduced me to that song and it became my all time favourite Christmas song since you did. Absolutely stunning |

It is a very thought provoking song and I agree a massively underrated one. I play it loads at this time of year. I always recall it was you who introduced me to it too. |

Merry Christmas to all you Tibbers. I'll do my proper speech on Christmas Day. But for now I'd like to say a great big thank you to all who've posted so far. You've all done an amazing job and I'm looking forward to those yet to come. I've bought all my pressies and put money in envelopes, written all my cards etc. All that remains is the food shopping nearer the time. There's a bottle of Baileys at Tesco with my name on it. Luv you all. With appreciation Kate xx |
Love that Kate.
Everytime I've been the one to have to, well try, to sing it at family Christmas gatherings, I still get the last 3 mixed up. Once I get to the 9th day I'm okay up to then, then a mental block seems to hit and those last 3 end up in the wrong places. Great to hear it right. All the best for Christmas Kate. |

Last Christmas I didn't choose this song just because it's awesome ... The word "last" can have two meanings ... Firstly, there's the obvious meaning - previous, as in the song. But last can also mean final. At this time of year, remember to appreciate those around you. We never know what's around the corner, so don't be afraid to tell your nearest and dearest that you love them. You never know when a Christmas is going to be a Last Christmas - the Last Christmas with Granny, or the last one where you're part of a married couple, the last one where Little Timmy still believes in Santa Clause ... Or, going back to the song itself and how it was during Christmas that we actually lost one of the people responsible for our Christmas soundtracks ... We might not always know when accidents or illnesses are around the corner. Any Christmas can be a Last Christmas, so enjoy every moment and every person XX We Three Kings It's important to also remember the Baby Jesus. Fairytale of New York Because even (especially!) bums, punks, sluts, and f@ggots deserve a good Christmas :D |
Oliver....what an amazing, thought provoking and touching message that was. Thank you very much. Xx
|
Thats lovely Oliver ,great sentiments x
|
Really thought provoking that one Oliver.
Thank you for posting it with that other way of looking at it. Really deep and fully appropriate. I'll always think of Wham's song that way now. |
Gosh Oliver you put a new spin on last Christmas for me
Lovely message and great songs |
