It was May 2020 when the whole country was locked down and people hadn't seen their families since March and we were only allowed an hours exercise per day....not May this year when people were ignoring restrictions. This was only 6 weeks or so after we were plunged into the most draconian lockdown we've had

Dead right Annie.
Honestly the lengths taken to defend Johnson and this government on serious issues is really worrying.

I certainly wasn't heading to any beach, I was worrying about my elderly father sat alone in his house. I was furloughed and following lockdown....the beaches were busy in june 2020 as I recall.

People were dying alone in care homes, hospital beds etc in May. Not sat with countless colleagues drinking wine.

Whether the public were doing it is irrelevant anyway....doesn't make the government blameless, especially when they were making the rules

People should be thinking about this positively. The tories want to level up the country, so we should all expect cheese and wine do's of a lunchtime imminently. It's all good :cheer2:

Spot on Annie again.
Your second paragraph particularly strong.

Cons can make light of it all they like, it's actually shameful.
As to the actual setting, the sliding around it via the deceit of the PM and his backside crawling Ministers, and even sadly his loyal harder line voters even STILL defending him.

Your last paragraph I agree with wholeheartedly.
Although I don't recall the 'WHOLE' country charging off to beaches or anywhere else in fact.
