Is encouraging insurrection enough to warrant his suspension? I personally would say yes his suspension in the aftermath of the 2020 election was absolutely necessary for the safety of his own followers as much as anything else.

But then the question becomes, does it also warrant permanent ban?

On the whole though, I would say that the expectation of good social media conduct should be higher (and thus the ban threshold lower) for politicians of any kind. The level of influence is massive, a "one size fits all" approach is nonsensical.

Not to give him too much credit but he's "too canny" to have written or said anything which directly anything the incident at the Capitol.

I do wonder if he'll still be the Republican candidate for 2024? If so then banning him without concrete, inarguable cause would seem too close to political interference.

he has already been unbanned on twitter

I'm not for it but I can't say it's not funny to watch these lefty journalists getting banned and complaining about it when they've spent the last few years mocking others who have been banned for no reason.

Remember they even banned the greatest US President in living history. They laughed then, they ain't laughing now.

Both the MSM and Twitter were being heavily influenced by certain departments within government. Both have been spreaders of of covid disinformation, Biden and the goings on in the Ukraine. Our thoughts were so modified, we weren't even allowed to debate science without censorship.

I had put my Twitter account into mothballs after certain truth seekers were given permanent bans. Its refreshing to know their accounts have now been reinstated.

Musk put up a Pole
to ask if he should stay as CEO
57% No.

But he is still there, saying no one wants to take over?

Snoop Dogg
did his own Poll,
Should he run Twitter
He won that.

No one seems to know what Elon is doing.

He would still be the distant owner

Layoffs Have Gutted Twitter’s Child Safety Team
Just one person remains to enforce the company’s ban on child sexual abuse content across Japan and the Asia Pacific region.

Removing child exploitation is “priority #1”, Twitter’s new owner and CEO Elon Musk declared last week.

Apologies for the late reply, and thanks for the link.:)

I wish that I could say that I'm shocked, but he is running a **** show on there.

Elon needs to get out of the limelight but that's what its been all about for him in the last few years.

Sure ,
you do not need Twitter
but there are posters
from all around the World.

Some Interests
you M. M. have,
are on Twitter

You can follow good posters that you
personally like

And Unfollow them

It is a Fantastic
communication.

arista 21-04-2023 12:51 AM

Musk is simply saying pay £11 a month to him
if you wish to have a Blue Tick.

Many at the BBC are happy to pay to get their Blue Tick.

To me, it is not a problem

I know many without a blue tick.

Oh I don't have personal issues with Twitter, it's just I'm not the greatest in social situations tbh, and everything is very public on there.

I do know that a lot of Twitter users are saying that Elon Musk is allowing prejudice to slip by though.

arista 21-04-2023 12:55 AM

For Example
Lucy Fisher moved from Times Radio DAB
to the Financial Times Paper

So I then start Following heron Twitter
as I know her views already
from what she has spoken on Times Radio DAB

But they're doing it quietly which makes it look like those people have paid. Extremely dodgy and (I would imagine) potentially a form of false advertising.

bots 24-04-2023 10:08 AM

Musk is realising that it's those with the most followers that create the whole twitter audience engagement and that, as a consequence, is what drives advertising revenues. The revenue from blue tick subs is a drop in the ocean compared to advertising revenue
