He'll likely spend the rest of his days in a mental facility - I'd frankly rather be in a "standard" jail.

there are no parole boards when someone is committed to a secure mental facility

There is some outcry in the city about the verdict. There is belief he got away with it which is not true
For me the real issue is how he was arrested a number of times for violent crimes but was let back into the community with a history of mental health issues. The fact that he stabbed Miss Kumar over 20 times leads to this being a frenzy attack/killing spree As I am from the area, I've built my own timeline of the events. This guy was walking for hours and the area he covered is around a couple of miles in total. The first murder is quite close to the city centre, then he walks out of the city centre for a couple of miles, tries to break in to the supported living complex - which is no where near the city centre -, encounters Ian Coates, murders him steals his van then head back in to the city. He must have driven right by a police station then heads back up to where he committed the first crimes and then he is eventually apprehended |
Yes it is tragic
the Police should have arrested him for not going to Court the last event he had, of attacking a copper |
This is true.
I still cant get over that I watch the footage and know exactly where the incidents took place. Its quite scary |
When I was going clubbing I always took a cab home. It's just not safe to walk at night anywhere.
Unfortunately they were at the wrong place at the wrong time  |
The so-called 'justice system' in this country stinks.
It isn't justice. Too many fookin' do-gooders in the legal system.:fist: |

[Several of Tuesday's newspapers lead the day with the discovery that a doctor warned three years before the Nottingham attacks that Valdo Calocane's mental illness was so severe he could "end up killing someone". The Daily Mail focuses on the response of the "furious" families of the victims, who are quoted as saying that medics and police have "blood on their hands".] https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/976/cp...bf5cd.jpg.webp |
Debate on GMBHD itv
Trisha & Richard on it. He Lied to his Doctor (GP) saying he was taking his meds. The GP trusted the words he said.................. He should have been in a Mental Hospital geting injections of his meds One Hospital Doctor said he will Kill people (thats the best Doctor we need) |
…for a long, long time, mental health services have been cut back and cut back and now it’s becoming so much more that we’re seeing horrific violent attacks and mental health being linked to those attacks happening…that’s not helpful to know that if no focus of funding is applied as a priority to try to prevent these losses of lives….

[Valdo Calocane, who killed three people in Nottingham. An independent review into the paranoid schizophrenic's NHS care prior to the attack "lays bare a catalogue of failings", it says. According to the paper he was described as "personable and gentle" and was allowed to skip medication because he did not like needles.] https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/ace/standar...785f2.jpg.webp |

Didn’t like needles but doesn’t mind plunging his knife into people.

Yes many say they should have forced the injection medicine into him. But of course many Mental hospitals have closed down. As the Governments believe they can be treated in the community. Sadly many of these cases are still around in our neighborhoods. Prevent Teams know who they are........................ |
