And personally I think that Trish might be a good person, but likes to attention seek on Twitter with really stupid comments, that's what I'm choosing to believe for now anyway.

I have no idea, i only became aware of it when Saph posted it in the thread an hour or so ago. Really hoping it's not true. Im sure if true, more will come to light.

I loved Trish as a housemate and thought she was treated unfairly in BB, but I'm not going to be a hypocrite and try to justify this. No other housemate would be given that grace.

To be honest, it still blows my mind that people forget to delete tweets like this before they go into Big Brother.

If it's true then my opinion on her being harmless changes a bit.

I think that it's less about justifying it, and more about trying to give her a chance to move on and hopefully grow as a person.

Something that isolating her from employment won't achieve (which is what I feel like some people want) if anything she'll end up becoming more extreme most likely.

We're not going to improve society as a whole if we punish people at the slightest discretion.

Really disappointing. I could forgive the odd one or two misguided tweets from years ago, peoples views change and people do grow but there seems to be a prolonged, sustained and repetitive anti-Asian rhetoric.

I really wanted Trish to win but now I'm glad she was evicted. She was a great HM and she showed incredible emotional intelligence, spoke for what she believed and supported those who didn't feel comfortable doing that. I will always appreciate her contribution to this BB, but she's undeserving of winning 100k.

Needless to say also that this doesn't mean she wasn't a victim herself of microaggressions within the house. I don't throw about accusations of racism often, but I do think there was a subtle undertone of prejudice from some of the HMs towards Trish and her being guilty of overt prejudice and racism in the past (and potentially in the present, for all we know) doesn't undo how she was treated in the house. However it does make her a hypocrite for just how much she seemed to pride herself on being the spokesperson for prejudice and intolerance.

…these words and thoughts that are apparently authentic…?…and some very recent of only being this year…would indicate that not even the basic of checks has been applied which would question any duty of care to any housemate…and they’ve also completely let fans down as well as the housemates, I feel….


….people have mentioned through the series that their preference would be back in the day style paid votes that wouldn’t be restricted to five free votes…?…but I feel had this been the way, then that would add another level to it all and that would also be because the producers have not given the housemates or the fans or anyone, what they promised….it’s not great or hopeful at all if on the first series, the first step…the revamp is looking at a very serious revamp….in contrast to any words from Trish, if authenticated…BB words are completely empty and those are the ones that carry the weight/responsibility of preserving and protecting not just the housemates but the existence of BB also….

…I was just thinking also…I know that outside world is not something that housemates are aware of…but I think for this, it might be good for BB to speak to them all and prepare them because they will be overwhelmed and engulfed etc with it all as an unexpected thing that they haven’t been prepared for….it’s the very least care BB can give now …in no way highlighted or public but as a group thing as the first and then individual supported for those needing it…

some of Trish's tweets are at best in very bad taste.

Really disappointed to read them but most of them are over 10 years old. People are allowed to learn and change their ways otherwise what's the point in anything

Also feel that most of those attacking Trish are not really bothered by what Trish wrote, but that they feel it's sticking to her.
