Missing You At Christmas - Author Unknown
Every day without you
Since you had to go,
Is like summer without sunshine
And Christmas without snow.
I wish that I could talk to you
There’s so much I would say,

Life has changed so very much
Since you went away.
I miss the bond between us
And I miss your kind support.
You’re in my mind and in my heart
And every Christmas thought.

I’ll always feel you close to me
And though you’re far from sight.
I’ll search for you among the stars
That shine on Christmas night.

I can't believe we are at the 14th December already and nobody has posted any snacks/chocolates etc so help yourself to a christmas cookie...yum!

Not 100% sure if I have done the youtube thing right as it isn't showing on my screen:shrug:

…my grand kittens would so love that Christmas/tree house as all they ever want for Christmas is a box each so they squirrel away for the day……I love that you’ve given us quizzes as well…my own favourite thing…either a Christmas quiz or a Christmas murder…both/either are lovely……

…this was me…

Santa
You're the type of person everyone loves. You're funny, caring, and giving to your very core. You're a believer in karma and consequences to actions, even if that means sometimes you have to be the one fighting for justice. You never ask for a "thank you" from those you're there for, but it means a lot when you get one.

…a lovely advent post…I wish you and your loved ones a very wonderful Christmas……

Just managed to catch up on these,Fabulous messages and heartfelt messages,it's really not Christmas without TIBB,thankyou to everyone who has participated so far.

GlitterUK, thank you for your incredibly festive message. My daughter has a thing about cats which gives her giggle fits and now we're going down the cathole rabbithole of YT cat spelunking/journeying videos. I anticipate we'll return sometime around naptime...

Thank you everyone for yesterday's lovely messages.

Well the standard has been set high this year. Just been catching up with the recent messages and they're all brilliant and unique. I'm glad this tradition has persisted and it's been a cracking year on the forum with BBs return seeing this place thrive again. On which note here is a festive picture of this year's winner Noky to enjoy

I usually binge Christmas music quite a lot this time of year but that's been replaced by the Pogues since Shane's passing. We've had Fairytale of New York already so I will post the other Pogues song which mentions Christmas

Then the winter came down and I loved it so dearly
The pubs and the bookies, where you'd spend all your time
And the old men that were singing "When the Roses Bloom Again
And Turn Like the Leaves To a New Summertime"

Now the winter comes down, I can't stand the chill
That comes to the streets around Christmas time
I'm buggered to damnation and I haven't got a penny
To wander the dark streets of London

Bit characteristically bleak but nevertheless I hope you all have a happy Christmas and I thank you for your company this year

I am suitably hungover today after watching West Ham in the city centre and rubbing shoulders with all the messy work Christmas parties. I hope everyone has enjoyed the festive season so far and behaved themselves because as Thurman Merman in Bad Santa reminds us

…a lovely advent post……I think the class/house of ‘23 is one that we’ll always love because it took the forum back to its roots, didn’t it…and with many ‘old’ reunions and lots of new faces also….just to add to yours, I’ll give you these …if you haven’t seen them already and wishing you a very, very Noky Christmas young sir….…

16th December :bday:

The best gift at Christmas
Is easy to see....
It's not wrapped in paper
or under a tree....
Because the best gift at Christmas
and all through the year..
Is a large glass of wine
...and coming on here.

I'm seriously hung over after my Work Christmas Party...I can't download anything because I'm useless. The Pogues Christmas song has already been posted but its one of my favourites and this year its more poignant...so that's my song to each and every one of you amazing people...and from my heart I wish you a wonderful and Happy Christmas...:cheer2:

Kate! 16-12-2023 12:03 PM

Really great message Rusti, love your poem. Merry Christmas hunni xx

MTVN 16-12-2023 01:17 PM

Lovely words, happy Christmas rusti!

Now go pour yourself a nice glass of wine to soothe that hangover
