Live On Trevor Phillips
Wes Streeting MP said the BBC made an error
allowing those 2 acts to attack the IDF in their songs

Neil Young was tragic, no one can say that was good

I don't like PUlp but they got it and delivered to their base

:umm2:

Yeah Neil Young sent me to sleep

Not sure why BBC can't put sets straight on iPlayer that they streamed live. Was no sign of the Script or Brandi Carlisle's performances

this isn't a festival in Russia or North Korea though

everyone is entitled to have their own opinions, own freedoms to sing about whatever they want

So a band can sing about deporting black people back to Africa or death to all Muslims?

Nailed it ..

Her song choices did not go down well- imagine standing there for 90 minutes waiting for a song you are familiar with.. she explained she was all about the ‘art’ now not selling records .

I was putting her show forwards as a multicultural experience though

Incitement shouldn't really fall under freedom of speech imo.

Just drag him off and charge him with incitement

Yesterday was everything wrong with Glastonbury

Tonight Rod is everything that is right

LaLaLand 29-06-2025 08:18 PM

Chic & Nile Rodgers absolutely smashed it. Enormous crowd too.

I saw them here last summer and they’re just epic, pure joy.

Why is Olivia Rodrigo a headliner let alone Closing Glastonbury? I quite like some of her music but is she really that world class? It's an odd choice

Strictly Jake 29-06-2025 09:26 PM

In fairness she's doing pretty great! But I swear these glastonbury audiences are getting younger, there's so many 12 year olds there! Wasn't Glastonbury a festival that was supposed to be aimed at older adults? This feels like radio 1s big weekend!

Strictly Jake 29-06-2025 09:30 PM

Ohhhh...I now know where all the adults are...watching the prodigy on the other stage, yeah that's where I would have headed too. They should have been given the main stage

Strictly Jake 29-06-2025 09:36 PM

I'm so grateful to bbc Iplayer for covering all of the performances over the weekend I've been able to watch loads of it it's been a fun one

Zizu 29-06-2025 09:38 PM

Just watched an interesting set by Celeste who reminds me of Sade x Amy Winehouse

I don’t listen to Olivia Rodrigo’s music but I’ve got Glastonbury on in the background and she is very good live. The crowd are really into it as well.

Zizu 29-06-2025 09:55 PM

Wow

Turnstile with a song called Seeing Stars

The Police x INXS

Yeah

Always impressive

I thought the two man brass section was a bit lean … three or four better maybe

Nice to see them play hit after hit after hit !!

Unlike the self indulgent Raye who just played ONE from her dozens of hit songs and left the audience bemused

CHIC

She's Avril Lavigne if Avril Lavigne was dull as ditchwater.

Zizu 29-06-2025 10:36 PM

I’d be happy to see Nile Rodgers and CHIC as headliners providing they boost up the brass section
