It’s no different really than the Mafia in Italy home grown killers instead of imported ones

Yes we still have that problem to this day.

…just a grand shout out to a hero…63yr old Jonathan Hayes was stabbed in the leg while putting himself between the attacker and a child in an attempt to protect the child and disarm the attacker…

…he’s a local businessman and at the scene at the time…

Very impressive.

He is definitely more brave than I would be in a scenario like that.

Hopefully I don't get caught up in a scenario like that, but you get what I mean.

I'm not sure any of us would be able to stand by and do nothing while a monster slaughtered little kids.

arista 30-07-2024 09:06 AM

Yes good on him.

If anyone has a Knife and is trying to attack,
take your jacket off if you can,
to wrap around it.

Yeah I agree. I think something would kick in to make most adults try to protect kids when something bad is happening. You hear of parents being able to pick up cars off their kids, its some primal protection instinct I think. I would happily rip the limbs from anyone who wanted to hurt my kid.

@arista I imagine all she will be able to think about are those she couldn't save. Brave girl...

Yes real sad two children died

bots 30-07-2024 09:32 AM

6 children and 2 adults remain in a critical condition, so this really isn't over yet, until they all come off the critical list.

anyone who saw the attack or the aftermath will likely never recover from it either. It took me a long time to get the images of Lockerbie out of my head as i drove past the town the morning after it happened. Some things just stay with you
