Meh another average song. I hope we start getting better songs or this is going to be one dull and loooong contest

The one i watched said acoustic version so i don’t know if the actual version is gonna sound different… it’s already sounding like the best of a bad bunch to me though

Austrias could be interesting. He's an opera singer.

yes Johannes Pietsch, and not the JJ from Bulgarian super group Equinox, to avoid confusion between two JJ's we have in the esc family now

a dull and long contest is what i hope for :cheer2: :cheer2:

Nicky91 06-02-2025 12:57 PM

also don't moan please :notimpressed:

in all seriousness the good entries are likely still to come

Finland: most likely Erika Vikman with ''Ich Komme''

Malta: could be operatic pop ''Heaven Sent'' or ''Lalaratakeke Lalaratakabum'' so both could be very fun

Norway: Bobbysocks comeback possible maybe? or a sort of tribute the weeknd act in Sondrey's ''Vagabond''

Croatia: Magazin comeback (with a different frontwoman Lorena Bucan) or the ethno group Lelek with The Soul of my Soul which sounds like a Go_A song

Poland: Justyna with ''Gaja'' you have there, but also a big name from their theatre and rock scene Janusz Radek with ''In Cosmic Mist'' or the belarusian migrants anthem ''Lusterka''

San Marino: got a strong looking line up of acts too, from many countries across the world as well, Atle Pettersen (a norwegian x factor runner up and two time MGP participant) Teslenko (Vidbir reject) same as fellow ukrainian Grisana with ''Kohobey'' another reject song from this years vidbir wildcard show, and moldovan artist Valleria, and last years albania act Besa who will bring ''Tiki''

I really loved their Eurovision song ‘Bones’. Very underrated.

Nicky91 06-02-2025 01:53 PM

i really hope espresso macchiato turns out to be a flop live, and we have anna sahlene or an-marlen from estonia

but that is more wishful thinking i guess :bored: even if Tommy farts on stage he'd still win with the rigged running order too in his favour

everything about espresso macchiato is too monotone for me no offense, and tbh this ''slapstick comedy'' genre is done better by Yolanda Be Cool with We No Speak Americano

Nicky91 06-02-2025 01:54 PM

Anna's ''Love Me Low'' is such a easy listening snatch

I’ve just heard Espresso macchiato and it’s not great but would be miles ahead of anything for Eurovision so far.

Nicky91 07-02-2025 01:00 PM

Australia are selecting their entrant internally

as for rumours, not that much, other than Guy Sebastian (but could be as an artist again or as a songwriter for someone else)

Nicky91 07-02-2025 04:24 PM

my personal NF season faves

Sweden: Fredrik Lundman - The Heart of a Swedish Cowboy
Poland: Teo - Immortal
Malta: Dario Bezzina Ft Zeppi I-Muni - Ghazliet
Croatia: Filomena - Strong
Ukraine: Vlad Sheryf - Wind of Change
Latvia: Emilija - Heartbeat
Estonia: Anna Sahlene - Love Me Low
Germany: TeamFeuerschwanz

how do you know for sure?

allegedly, and that was enough for the woke YLE to dq them, and help the production princess Erika Vikman to an easy win :idc:

as if Erika is a saint, she banged a man well over 50 years older than her, basically the finnish Courtney Stodden :skull: :joker:

Oh my, finally a banger. :clap1:

My fave so far too which prob means the rest of Europe will not vote it.

Benjamin 08-02-2025 09:12 AM

As if Ireland almost had Samantha Mumba. Terrible song. Thank god the public vote saved them from the questionable jury points. Wish they’d scrap jury votes tbf.

yes since semi finals at esc are 100% televote, so jury friendly songs are a risk nowadays if u first have to get past the semi

however those who did survive the semi, some went to do better in the final

Estonia 2023: Alika - Bridges (10th in semi, and did a top 10 in final i thought mainly thanks to a high jury score)

Latvia 2024: Dons - Hollow (scraped through in semi, and went on to do decently in the final with a good jury result)

wonder who of this years will have a similar fate then of barely qualifying and doing better in the final
